The Altra The Lone Peak 2.0 is a zero-drop, trail running shoe designed for a varied terrain and a neutral foot motion.

Looking for a trail shoe to conquer nature's hazards while also running the way nature intended? Altra has your solution with The Lone Peak 2.0. Altra's famous foot-shaped toebox and Zero Drop platform allows your foot to disperse impact as it was designed, while the Sandwiched StoneGuard protects your foot from the ground's menaces and the TrailClaw outsole has traction to grip even in the trickiest ascents and descents. Hardened by the granite of the Wasatch Range, this shoe does justice to its namesake.

Customer Reviews

Comments: Make sure you order up a half size!!! My running shoe is a 7.5 and my toes came all the way to the end. I'm ordering up a half size to an 8, but contemplating a 8.5. Other than that, can't wait to try these out!!!

Comments: I love this shoe! I have very wide feet and can actually wear the women's model. I am training for my first 50 mile and always seem to be reaching for these over my Hoka Mafates, which now seem stiff, wobbly and way too heavy. My runs are on technical tails, off trail and gravel or dirt roads. I feel stable and connected to the ground and my toes are free to spread out. The Lone Peaks don't hold as much mud as the Hokas. The Lone Peaks have proven themselves to be good in snow/ice as well. I hope Altra doesn't feel the need to change a really good shoe.

Comments: I love this shoe! I was struggling with finding a trail shoe that did not bother my feet, that I felt stable and secure in. And now I have found it. I have done several 50 milers and was looking for a shoe that I was confident would carry me through my first 100 miler that I am doing on April 10th.

Comments: I love these shoes! I've been running and backpacking in Altras for years and my go to has always been the iterations of the Lone Peak. The 2.0 has an improved grip and more durable upper than the 1.5. If you're looking for toe room and a neutral platform for your feet this is your shoe!

Comments: The Lone Peak 2.0 is a great improvement on an already great shoe! Altra improved traction in the sole by added more lugs, and the sole overall has more cushioning which is great for long runs in the mountains (in this reviewer's case, "long" means 50+ miles, and it was no problem for this shoe!). The upper and the tongue are also more comfortable in the 2.0 than the 1.5. Just check the sizing: I wear a 9.5 in other Altra shoes (and other brands), but for the 2.0s I needed a 10.
