Comments: The Asics Ds racer was my racing shoe for the last two years I like the shoes when you first get them, they are super light and have a good amount of support for running up to half marathons but after 100km in them the bottoms of the shoe lose its responsive feel and wear down to almost nothing, I'm trying the new balance 1500 now as they look like they have a more durable bottom and are simliar weight to this. If you going to wear this shoe I would recommend keeping it as your racing shoe and not training in it to make it last longer.

Comments: A long-time wearer of the Asics GT-2xxx series, the DS Racer 10 is my first lightweight running shoe. They are incredibly light and feel fast, but still provide a good deal of support (I'm a mild overpronator). I use them mostly for speed work and for races from 5k to half marathon. I don't know if they have enough cushioning for me to wear them for a marathon, but one day I'll take them on a 20 mile LR and find out. I have about 130 miles on them now. They seem to be wearing okay, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't last the same 500 miles that I usually get out of the GT-2k model, simply because there is less cushioning to begin with.

Comments: First of all I like this shoe, it's a very lightweight stability racing flat with relatively good support (when it's new). However this shoe breaks down incredibly quickly, especially in the forefoot where after 6 or 7 runs the midsole has begun to collapse and the outsole is almost gone. I'm light (140lbs) and relatively quick (29.30 10k) and I don't go through shoes quickly. It would have been a better shoe had Asics added duosole to the forefoot (after all DS used to stand for Duosole on this product!) but I guess that would be too exensive. I notice that this is actually a budget racer/trainer on the Japanese market called the skylyte.

Comments: Been a Ds Racer fan since gel banditos, Ran 3 marathons in them, caballo blanco 50 miler and Boston Marathon in ds racer 9. On dec 14th, im running Monterrey marathon and Im not sure if Should ran in ds racer 10, they feel awesome but the are like a very light neutral racers, no support at all (compared with banditos, racer 8 and 9) They are 2 ounces lighter, so maybe this time not for my frame size. Im 172 lbs. 5' 11".

Comments: I was looking for a racing shoe with some pronation support. I train in the Asics Kayano. Not sure if I got a defective pair but these caused a horrible blood blister on my 4th right toe only. Waited a few weeks and tried them again and the same thing.

Comments: Love this shoe! Super light but seems to have a bit more cushioning than the DS Racer 9. I run 2-4 miles 3x a week and occasional longer runs. My foot has a high arch but I pronate a bit, these seem to give me good support.
