Customer Reviews

Comments: I was initially reluctant to buy these shoes, as the reviews I read seemed to indicate a lot of changes from the previous model. I eventually did buy them, and I am so glad I did. The only difference I have found is they are a bit lighter and fit even more like a glove than their predecessor. It's a great shoe - supportive and comfortable enough to be worn as a daily trainer, but light and responsive enough for workouts and races.

Comments: Much narrower than the previous DS Trainer. The toe box is not as wide as normal. I have been wearing the DS Trainer for 8 years but now I have to find a new, wider style. Too bad. I really like these shoes. :(

Comments: DO NOT PURCHASE A SIZE SMALLER. The shoe fitter said I should have also went with a 1/2 size smaller. I wear a 9 1/2 and a size 9 would have never fit.

Comments: Don't believe the foot sizer. Good thing I didn't. I normally wear a 9 1/2 in a Mizuno. It said I should buy a 9 in the DS Trainer. I bought a 9 1/2 and didn't have an over-abundance of space between my toes and the end of the shoe. A 9 would have been way too small. I'd recommend buying your normal size. Other than that, it has a bit more cushion than earlier DS trainers. Earlier DS trainers were rated as having a semi-firm ride. This one is rated with a semi-soft ride. It's light, responsive and flexible.
