Comments: I've been through three of these watches now. Each eventually stops acquiring satellites and doesn't work reliably. When it's working it's a great watch for training. When it stops it's a $350 paperweight. Garmin had been OK about service but I suspect they may not replace my watch again this time. From: Kevin, Bay Area, CA
Comments: I used a Garmin 305 for 5 years and thought I couldn't live without it when it died. How could I replace such a great watch that's been through 5 marathons, unknown 13+, and some awesome mountain climbs, but I took a leap of faith right into utopia! My 310XT, knock on wood, is fantastic. I am not really fond of the charging thing- seems a little weak but the ability to turn the GPS off when indoors makes it great for stair climbing the 25 flight and other indoor activities. The GPS linkup is quicker then the 305 also. There is something I am missing on the 310 but I can't remember right now, so not too important huh? From: Daegu, Korea
Comments: UPDATE: It's JUN2012 (6 months of use), and I've started having problems with the MODE button not working. It seems I have to press it kind of in-and-down, and I've had a handful of times where I press and press without any response from the watch. Come on, Garmin -- the buttons are not cutting-edge technology! From: Clive, Charlotte, NC, USA
Comments: I picked up a FR310XT in DEC 2011 and have used it at least once per day for 5 weeks now. Setup was easy right out of the box, and I was surprised that even the ANT+ agent setup wasn't painful on two different computers. Everything works flawlessly, and satellite sync is WAY faster than my old FR305. The strap also seems sturdier, and the premium HRM more comfortable. I do get crazy-high HR data issues in the first 2-5 minutes of a run, which is probably from static electricity from technical apparel in wintertime. From: Clive, Charlotte, NC, USA
Comments: The 310XT gets problems of not being able to find any satellites. Then when you e-mail Garmin they give you a list of things to try, none of which work... So there are definitely better watches than this, for less money. It was great when it was working, but that only lasted about 3 months for me at least. From: Mark, Buffalo, NY, USA
Comments: I have had my unit for less than 24 hours - In the first 15 minutes I easily setup up the watch & paired the heart rate monitor. After work, I went running with the new Forerunner unit. It was EASY to use and READ throughout my run. Early this morning I setup the ANT+ which easiliy paired with the unit. I uploaded the history and route to the connect.garmin.com website with no problems at all. Then I stared in amazement at the recorded details of my run with pace, elevation changes, the exact route, HR zones, etc. I can highly recomment this product! Now that I have this excellent technology, the only hard part that remains is the work of actually burning up the trails! From: Dean, New York, NY, USA
