Customer Reviews

Comments: Hoka One One's are amazing. If you have any foot pain, plantar fasciitis, than you should definitely try a pair. I have a pair of Bondi 3s and a pair of Tarmacs. The Tarmac is much more firm in the sole and does not have the marshmallow cushion feel. It is made of a thicker material and the tongue (the white parts on the pink Tarmac) are a leather. Overall it is much warmer to wear then the mesh of the Bondi. I wear green superfeet inserts in my Hokas without any problems. As other reviews have said the toe of the Tarmac is quite narrow in comparison to the Bondi. The Tarmac's sole is made of a much more durable rubber than the Bondi's. As for which pair would I order again, if I need cushion than the Bondi and of I needed a very flat bottom shoe that will be more durable than the Tarmac.

Comments: For me, these are fantastic. I understand the comments about the heel, but it is fine on me once my foot settles in. The support is absolutely fantastic. I am a walker, not a runner (at least not any more), but I have feet which need decent support. I have very high arches and my arches tend to flatten when I get tired if there is not proper support. (As a child in non-athletic shoes they had trouble fitting me because my feet were different sizes in the morning and evening.) Without proper support, I get arch cramps, even if I'm just walking around the house on our concrete floors. And I get aching legs at the end of the day. When these arrived, I wore them constantly for the first 5 days or so to make sure they would fit and work properly. My feet felt great - no arch cramps and no aching legs. Then I put the shoes away to just use for my walks on the treadmill or outside. Back came the cramps and aches. I finally wised up and pulled out these shoes again for constant wear. Fantastic!

Comments: Glad and sad that I'm not the only one having the issue around the ankle. LOVE the cushioning but, they have to go :-(

Comments: I bought a pair of the Kailua Trail Tarmac and absolutely love them! Unfortunately, I recently purchased a pair of Kailua Tarmac (road) shoe and I'm going to have to exchange them. I wore them around the house to see if they felt the same as my trail shoe. Well they didn't they ride a tad higher on my ankle causing excessive rubbing. Going to stick with Hoka but going to give the Bondi a try. Hope they work for me!!!

Comments: I love the feel of these shoes when running but the toe box is not wide enough. I keep getting blisters. If the toe box was wider I could give them a very positive review. Unfortunately I will be returning these shoes. I can't deal with the blisters.

Comments: So very impressed with these shoes! After experiencing calf discomfort I decided to give them a try. (Newtons have been my go to shoes for years). I walked in them...then tried them for 2 miles. A few days later I decided to wear them for a half marathon. SHOCKED at how little my calves hurt the next day. I'm telling everyone I know about Hoka One One (in fact my sister just ordered a pair from RW yesterday).

Comments: Sadly I'm going to have to return these shoes. The heel is looser than the Bondi B and rides up higher on my ankle causing rubbing. And I'm also having trouble with rubbing on the top of my big toe.
