Customer Reviews

Comments: Prior to the Clifton 3, I simply couldn't run in Hoka. They were too narrow for my foot, period. And the Clayton was just awkward fitting, with the edge of the insole tearing up my medial arch.

Now with the Hupana, I can run ALL Hoka. Hupana for speed days and races, Bondi 5 for long/slow and recovery runs, and Clifton 3 for everything else. The Hupana fits my foot perfectly, is light, looks fantastic, and still runs like a Hoka.

I just ran 8.5 in 55 degree weather with some rain, and didn't have the breathability issues another reviewer pointed out. Breathability seems fine to me so far, and traction was solid.

Keep making them like this Hoka!

Comments: Great shoes. Won a 10k age group right out of the box. Light and cushioned.

Comments:  I am a Brooks Pureflow and Saucony Kinvarra, size 10.5 M buyer.  I can't stand the tongue on the Pureflow 5, and can't wait for the 6 reviews, so tried Hoka for the 1st time. I have tried them on before, but the Clifton was just too mushy, but reading about the drop and cushion on the Hupana, I purchased them from RW without trying them on.   First run out of the box, 10k that included hills and some tempo.  They fit extremely well, and the upper is very flexible.  Nice soft ride, didn't have the response I was looking for (Brooks Pureflow) but the ride and comfort made up for it.  Overall, very impressed with the quality:  just-right sole and mid, flexible upper, super-light, great breathabiilty, moderate resopnse, and honestly (and I hate to admit this), they look great.  Not a PR shoe, but an awesome trainer.

Comments: A good all around shoe, if not as responsive as I'd hoped. However, I've returned them due to poor breathability. After five miles in 55 degree weather, my feet were soaked, more so than any other running shoe I've used.

From: Harrison, Los Angeles, CA, USA. January 11th 2017

Comments: First off, these shoes are extremely comfy. They definitely have a locked in feel in the midfoot and have a snug but flexible forefoot. They leave plenty of room for toe splay, to me anyway.(for reference, I felt good in the challenger atr 2s, I enjoy a snug upper). They remind me of a more locked down flyknit. The midsole is firm and fast and yet still super comfy to walk in. Not extremely responsive, really just balanced. Plenty of cushion for me. I will say that my feet will have to get used to such a firm feel underfoot, as they are used to challengers and cliftons. These are much more firm. But, that is what I was looking for. They also fit true to size for me.

Overall, first impression is a great one. They will be my go to casual, interval/strength training, and tempo shoe. I plan on completing a one year run streak in 2017 and feel that these shoes will help me meet this goal. Will update if anything changes.

Comments: Comments: A terrific shoe.  I liked the RMAT in the Huakas, but didn't particularly like their fit. This shoe is much better. It has excellent transition, is soft but not squishy soft, and is light as a feather. A very nice shoe to run in. Good for longer distance and moderate speed. It is my 'go-to' shoe, replacing my other Hokas and my other brand shoes as well. I highly recommend them.
