Customer Reviews

Comments: Loved, the cusion of this Hoka Stinson, I walk fourty miles a week this shoe did not blister my feet where as other brands did to the point that I had to take time off. That being said, I wore out. My Hoka's out within two months. The Hoka's in my opinion need to have more of a firm sole in the ball of your foot area. Overall I would recommend Hoka's to everyone that is into walking or running on trails and or a hard surface such as asphalt.

Comments: These are great shoes for me as I recently had my ankle fused, My surgeon recommended this brand of shoes for walking due to no movement of the ankle and the rolling off of the action of the shoe sole, and the softnes of the sole really helps. Thanks for the fast shipping. I cannot wait to go hiking on our camping trips.

Comments: I just ordered my 3rd and 4th pairs of Stinson Lite's. That should speak to how much I appreciate and value them. I've run in the Bondi's and Stinson (non lite model), but overall prefer the Lites for their reduced weight and foot-heat management properties. All my miles are on paved roads, so I can't speak to performance on crushed gravel or other surfaces. I ran over 1200 miles in Hoka's during the 2014 Minnesota running season, and ran two marathons in the Lites. I ran in them for all types of training runs (speed, hills, stairs...). I'm a 6 foot, 210 lb, 52 year old and physically appreciate how well the Hoka's absorb the impact while supporting the foot and ankle. I have a normal to wide foot so don't have any issues with the foot sleeve being too large as others have reported. Whereas there is a definitephysical benefit to the 'plush ride' of the Hoka, it comes at a cost. The softness of the sole does not hold up to miles nearly as well as other less shopck a bsorbing running shoes. End result: You'll wear out Hoka's faster than you would Nike, Brooks, Sauc's, and the like. Personally, it's a viable trade-off for me.

Comments: These were my first Hoka's. Had heard some good things, so I decided to get my own, now that they are on sale. Did my first 6 mile run in them. They were ok. They were not as cushioned as I thought they would be. Maybe the Bandi 3's would have the cushion that I was expecting. The Stinson's definitely absorbed the road, but were a bit stiff and slightly firm. They were heavy, and the tread not as grippy as I would have liked. The toe box was narrow, and I started to get a blister on my small toe. I think I will use them for a walking shoe. I like the rocker, and they would be great for a day at the museum, but I think I will go back to my lunar glide 5's.

Comments: Stinson Lites were quite fast compared by my Bondi 2s, but the fit is very wide. My feet were swimming on the inside, notwithstanding the laces were cinched up to the point where the eyelets were nearly touching. Also, the area around the ankle is also quite loose fitting. This resulted in a fair amount of rubbing on the Achilles tendon. Definitely do not work for my feet.

Comments: My new favorite.I have the bondi and mafate but this is my new go to . This is not as spongey as the bondi but still cushioned.I felt more stable as the base is a bit wider and it's a "late" rocker? Love the mesh like fabric and my feet did not get hot like the other 2 pairs I have and feels a bit wider in the forefoot/toebox. Some have spoken about the lack of padding in the tongue,I don't need it, my foot was cooler without it, no blisters, no rubbing so far. Good shoe for me for running road, grass, dirt or the packed shell trails i run on in south florida. I haven't tried rocks or tree roots yet with these but my mafates handles those just fine. Nice new shoe and love the meshlike uppers.
