Customer Reviews

Comments: I bought these to replace a pair of Stinson Tarmac. While the cushioning is great, the top of the shoe is unrecognizable. The top of the shoe is so high that it rubbed up against my lower ankle area and caused huge bruise at around the 10 mile mark. Never had that issue in a pair of Hokas. Please go back to the old quality, please please please.

Comments: I LOVE these shoes! I was hesitant to buy them simply because of how they look. However, I had heard good things about them and decided to give them a try. I am 47 and I run marathons so I was looking for injury prevention. These shoes are extremely cushiony and so comfortable. I have trouble with achilles tendonitis from time to time and it was acting up when I bought these shoes. From my first run, I have not felt it at all. They still feel cushiony after 10 miles. I am looking forward to wearing them on longer runs. They seem to run big...I ordered a half size smaller and they are perfect.

Comments: I love these shoes. I am a walker, not a runner. I do some light jogging on treadmill as well. My son, who is a runner and works at a running shoe store, suggested the HOKA Stinson Lites to me. I wear orthopedic inserts to correct severe suppination. I can go without my inserts in these shoes. The sizing is true, toe box generously wide, heel sole wide to prevent ankle rolling, and the cushioning minimizes the arthritis pain in my knees. My neighbor is a tri-athlete that still competes in the masters age group. She switched to these shoes as well and swears by them.

Comments: There are many things that I like about these shoes but sadly they caused a big problem for me. Though they have the widest toe box of the Hokas that I tried, still I gotta very painful blister/callous. Later looking at a review online it seems that I am not alone. I am still able to wear the trail version of this shoe in rotation with other Brooks shoes but sadly I can't wear this shoe that I otherwise like very much. See: I got a painful version of the indicated "baby toe-second toe" Hoka blister. Perhaps if you have more narrow feet this shoe and other Hokas can work for you. Note: I have a high arch and squared off toes in the forefoot but do not typically order wide shoes.

Comments: This replaced the Stinson Tarmac ( per Hoka Rep and a marathon expo) What they did with this new upper is ridiculous. If you happen to venture onto a trail from pavement, you will have a shoe full of dirt. Also, impossible to get on and once you do, its too narrow... well for me. The upper where the laces are is irritating to the foot because there is no material separating you from it. Glad there are some of the old Tarmac available. Hoka One One... whats up?
