MIDSOLE

OUTSOLE

  • Gryptonite Trail is a sticky outsole rubber designed for optimal traction and durability on both wet and dry surfaces.
  • Digging Lugs around the perimeter of the outsole provide traction for up and downhill runs.
  • Trail Shield is a flexible composite material layered between the midsole and the outsole for protection against rock bruising.

UPPER

  • Open Mesh throughout the upper offers lightweight breathability.
  • Toe Counter is a thermoplastic overlay that protect toes from obstacles on the trail.
  • Gusseted Tongue helps to keep out debris.
  • Traditional Sockliner adds underfoot comfort.
  • Strobel Last with the upper stitched to full length fabric for a comfortable underfoot feel.

Comments: Love this shoe for my trail runs! they have great traction on loose dirt and rock, hard packed trails, smooth rock, and even loose brush. They are a bit firm, so I like them best for mid distance runs, anything over 10 miles and my feet need a little more cushion. The uppers are really durable, but get stuffy in hot weather.... i save these for days under 90 degrees. But they are super tough all around, I've taken them on many gnarly trails over the past year and both the upper and outsole are still good as new (minus the dirt!)
