Pick up the pace and support over-pronation in the Newton Distance S 2011. The responsiveness of the forefoot actuator lugs is great for running fast and the low heel-to-toe drop promotes midfoot/forefoot striking. The Newton Distance S is best suited for tempo runs, intervals or racing.

Comments: On recommendation from Newton, I first tried Sir Isaac S's.  They felt weird from the start, but I did notice an improvement in my form and pace.  After some research, I purchased the Distance S and fell in love.  Right out of the box they felt great, much better feel than the Sir Isaacs.  Sizing was spot on, not smaller like the Sir Isaacs.  I've run about 25 miles in them so far and can‚t say enough good things about them, I have truly found my running shoe. I am training for my 2nd Ultra and will report back after a couple hundred miles.

Comments: I bought the distance S because I was having heel and calf issues. I purchased them before my marathon and I have had them over 2 months and they are my preferred training shoe. I will run some scheduled halves in these just for fun. They do take some getting used to so I did as others have told me and progressively increased the mileage to where I do my 10 to 15 milers in these. I even ran a road mile race in them and ran just over 5 min for a master. I love these shoes and will buy more plus will try the flats next.
