Customer Reviews

Comments: Picked these up at RW for a Spartan Beast race. They were awesome for the muddy conditions; I didn't slip once on the slick climbs, downhills, and walls and didn't lose my shoes in the muck either. I asked a few racers about their Reebok Spartan shoes and they all concurred they'd rather have the Salomons. They have just enough cushioning to be usable on hard-pack trails but I wouldn't use them regularly in those conditions. They drain well enough by pushing water out of the top of the shoe. I like the way the speedlaces tuck into the tongue flap, but I think the tongue could be less bulky. Maybe I'm just used to the thin Hoka OneOne tongue. I'd also like to see that fellraiser ribbon down the tongue length be segmented so that the laces could hold the tongue in place. I picked these over the Speedcross due to the lower drop and they looked to have a wider forefoot. I normally wear size 12 4E shoes in NB and these were ok width-wise. Due to the narrower width and reco mmendations to size down, I chose a size 12 and that was the correct size for me.

Comments: Incredible traction on very muddy Spartan Super course. I would recommend based on performance and comfort. Consider ordering a half size larger than normal.
