Comments: Although I haven't owned any previous versions of the Boston, I am a huge fan of the Boost series- coming off a pair of Energy Boost 1's with 600+ miles on them. This shoe has a definitely lower to the ground and firmer forefoot feel compared to the plush Energy Boost, but still has manages not to lose the signature Boost feel. Plus, it feels very lightweight for a shoe that I suspect will be able to rack up its share of miles. It will work great as a trainer for fairly efficient runners, but I feel it really shines as a tempo or race effort shoe. I have used it on runs ranging from 5-12 miles so far at various efforts. As with previous Boosts, I had to go up a half size from my usual size in all other brands for the best fit. Looking forward to using this for my next half marathon in November.

Comments: I purchased these from RW last week. I have already put 40 miles on them with most runs being 12-15mi range. I have run in the Boston 3's and 4's in the past with the 3's being my favorite until now. Wasn't a huge fan of the 4's. The Boston Boost are awesome. They are lighter than previous versions, and the amount of Boost/EVA combo are great for easy days or tempo days. The shoe is a bit softer at slower speeds(not squishy), but firm at faster speeds. The shoe's upper is like a racing flat. It wraps the foot tight, and the laces won't come untied easily. The upper is similar to the 3's. Overall, great shoe!

Comments: I was lucky enough to get these at the Boston expo in April. Actually considered running Boston in them cause they felt so good on an easy run two days before the marathon but I opted to play it safe and run in the Boston 3. I've had the adizero Boston 1, 3, 4, and now these. These are my favorite with the 3 in second. The upper is much improved from the Boston 4. The boost material is simply great, it works. Doesn't feel too soft. The shoe feels lighter than previous Boston's but no sacrifice in performance. This is my go to shoe for racing halfs and fulls, tempo runs, and marathon pace long runs. If you want a little more cushioning than the adios for racing then this is the shoe for you.
