Customer feedback

Comments: I bought this pack a few months back now and have been using it regularly since. I tried the Nathan 020 before this one for strictly trail running: It seemed to wiggle and sway too much. I have run with heavier Camelbacks in the past and the Octane XC is much lighter. I like this minimalist pack a lot. I really like the smaller pockets on both sides, which sort of sit just above the waist. Easy access for gels, electrolytes and digi cam! There are big "sticks" on the zippers to which makes long fingered glove use easy. The unit comes with a 70 oz bladder, but I have used the larger 100 oz bladders. There's a small storage compartment at the top of the unit, which also serves as a flap/hook to enclose the bladder. This unit also has nice padding on the back- not too much though- which keeps the bladder feeling soft on the back. My complaint is with the straps. Their locations are fine, but the buckles seem to slowly slip, ALWAYS! Oh man, this is frustrating. I just want them to stay put for hours and hours. For now. I solve this issue with bobby pins. I think there must be better buckles out there that Camelback could source. Other than the buckle issue, this is a no B.S., well functioning pack worth the price.
