Comments: I already have about 100 miles on these shoes and they are great. They are a great transition shoe for someone that hopes to eventually run minimalist because they still offer decent cushioning. These have been great for working on my running form so that I may get to minimalist running. These were great during races and I had to get the 2E width since the shoe runs narrow as with most New Balance shoes. The wear and tear on these after 100 miles in non-existent other than the tread on the bottom which I hope to get about 600 or so miles from by the rate at which they are wearing down. The shoe fabric is also very durable for a minimalist shoe.

Comments: The weight and fit of this shoe were great! However, the pods on the bottom caused some serious pressure points on my feet. This was noticeable but not painful for shorter runs, but by the end of a marathon my feet were bruised and sore only where the pods on the bottom of the shoe were located. Overall the fit was roomy enough for my wide foot, light enough for a minimal shoe and really breathable. I would just suggest that new balance do away with the pod structure on the bottom for the next version of this shoe.
