Customer Reviews

Comments: These shoes are amazing. Light, nimble, and protective. My runs are longer and my recovery faster. Very versatile, as they excel on both mountain runs and on gravel paths. The sock like fit feels tight upon first try, but it truly is a great fit. Definitely my favorite shoes for the trails.

Comments: I have put these shoes through everything. Recently wore them during the Leadville Marathon, the shoes didn't offer much protection against the pounding. However, on dirt trails, these things are like driving a sports car. The shoes also drain well. At 200 miles, one of the eyelets broke, called Salomon, as with all Salomon shoes, they carry a 3 year warranty. Makes the price tag feel a bit better.

Comments: Phenomenal!

Comments: This is the best trail shoe I have used. The Ultra offers a nice combination of protection and responsiveness in a nice lightweight package. I always look forward to hitting the trails in these shoes.

Comments: Very comfortable on trails that aren't too gnarly. Great platform to toe off. I'm a forefoot/mid foot striker so the 4mm drop was perfect. You'll feel like a ninja in these shoes. My only complaint is the rock plate still isn't tough enough. I'm pretty tentative when I approach sections of trail with sharp rocks. Landed funny on a rock with my left foot and subluxed my cuboid. Really bummed about it. I'd recommend these shoes but you have to know what you're getting into. If you're heavy footed and like to kamikaze down gnarly trails, stay away. If you're a light-footed gazelle with strong feet then this is the shoe for you.
