Customer Reviews

Comments: Great design and construction. My main complaint is that despite the cuben fiber neither the main compartment nor the front pockets are waterproof. They're both constructed with strips of stretch mesh that are easily penetrated by heavy rain. Otherwise I'm very happy with it. The capacity is fantastic. I'm a small/medium and the S/M size is just right. I prefer the lower bottle placement, and I can fit a large smartphone (Nexus 4) in the front pockets. The bottom side pockets are nearly impossible to reach while wearing the vest, but the ample front pockets make up for this.

Comments: Amazingly, none of the pockets accessible from the front of any of these signature vests secure an iPhone 5 in them. How are you going to get that cool shot of Peter Bakwin running down the hill if you can't reach your phone? Also, specific to this vest, I found that the low bottle placement interfered with my arm swing. I ended up getting the SJ version with the higher bottle placement and will run with it for the first time tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how Cuben holds up in this application. Happy trails.
