Comments: This is a really well made jacket and you will surely feel the quality of built. However, I found it inadequate for New England winter running mainly because this jacket does not have sufficient wind protection on the back. Of course some people withstand cold better than others, but I prefer to be warm and can tolerate being hot better than being cold. I took this jacket for a 7 mile run in 26ºF and was greeted by some 5 to 10 mph winter wind blowing from behind on my last mile. The wind easily blew right through the back of the jacket and my back hurt from the cold even while I had 2 layers of clothing underneath. I thought maybe I got particularly unlucky that day and tried it once again in about 30ºF on a sunny afternoon with wind under 5 mph and the same thing happened. For me this jacket works only above 40ºF. (Runner since 1996, 25-35 mph). From: Dimitriy, New England, MA
