Customer Reviews

Comments: Recenly purchased the Pearl Izumi Men's Fly Evo Tights. I'm 5'10" and about 175lbs medium frame. I have a 32" waist. These tights fit perfect. The tights are thin but warm. At first they felt odd putting them on. Not real stretchy like other tights. I would say there is very little margin for size difference. Maybe from a 30 to 34. Maybe. These are very thin and don't have really any insulating material. They have a slightly relaxed fit especially in the knees. The material in the
front is windproof and has a stretchy breathable material on the back of the legs. There is no internal brief like the other PI tights. I don't usually wear anything under my tights but the first time I wore these was on a 10 mile run in about 38 degrees. I did get some rubbing in some areas. The next time I wore a compression underwear and it was a little more comfortable and a little warmer on the junk. I wore these with the Fly Evo Pullover, a base layer, wool socks and a beanie. The first mile was a little chilly but then I warmed up and the combination was perfect. I was warm but not hot. The thin light material of the Fly Evo was amazing. You would not think you could stay warm in such a thin material without insulation but the material kept the air and wind out and would breath to keep the temp just right. I probably would not have tried this combination if it wasn't for Running Warehouse's price on the items. Because of the discount I was able to get top shelf apparel at what I would have spent elsewhere for mid line stuff. I would recommend these and the pullover if you are an avid runner looking for cold gear. It is worth the money. I would suggest getting a pair of regular tights for when it's in the 40's. Looking forward to trying some of PI other items since they have me hooked.
