True to its name, the Firewall 220 Zip by Sugoi is indeed protective against the elements. The unique, high-tech Firewall material has a durable triple-layer-laminate, which repels water on the outside and wicks moisture away from the body on the inside. Unlike your typical soft shell, this fitted jacket isn't stiff or heavy; Midzero fabric panels on the low back and underarms give extra stretch and breathability.

Comments: Well-made fitted cold weather running jacket. Waist adjustment cords hidden in left and right zipped pockets. Size large a perfect fit for my 5' 10" 160 lb. build.

Comments: The jacket is super lightweight and thin. Similar to wearing a heavy weight winter cycling jersey. The material is simply amazing. So thin yet capable of keeping you warm at super low temps. This is NOT a jacket that you can just sit around in though. You have to be active in order for its technology to work. The fit is snug/athletic but the material is super stretchy. It just feels perfect like a second skin. Jacket also has a longer tail so it is suitable for biking. I use it for ultra-runs and it packs up real small when not in use. Fabric thickness says medium which I guess it is but is does pack up well. Definitely one of the best cold weather jackets out there. I don't get cold in it at all and I stay completely dry. I am 5'8 and somewhat muscular build in shoulders, chest, arms and wear a medium. Buy it, you won't be dissapointed. Sugoi is Japaneese for incredible and this jacket is.

Comments: Is love too strong a word for a jacket? As a cold weather runner - sub-freezing is the best & low 20s are my fav - I've tried all sorts of jackets & tops & layers. NEVER found anything like this. After buying Sugoi's Subzero tights & being VERY
impressed, I decided to splurge on this jacket. It works as advertised: wind out; sweat out; heat in. One WARNING: It's very fitted. I'm 5'10', 155 & wear a small in most tops. This small is REAL tight in the forearms & very slim through the waist. Long enough everywhere. Just tight.

Comments: This is an awesome jacket for the cold weather. I was very reluctant to spend this much money on a winter running jacket, but decided to finally do so as I wanted something versatile enough to use for mountain biking and running. I paired this with the 220 Firewall pants. I am very satisfied with the purchase. Took it out for a test MTB ride and run in 30 degree weather in the woods and boy did it perform well. It is a great fit, I am 5 10" and the large fits nice. There was no wind coming through and all I had underneath was a thin Patagonia base layer. Held in the heat, kept out the cold.
