The adiZero Boston is a moderate featured shoe designed for neutral pronation or supination. This lightweight trainer is intended for training, speedwork, and racing. The Boston has a semi-curved shape.

cushioning
Formotion is a gender specific decoupled heel system designed to dissipate shock from heel strike. adiPRENE+ is utilized in the forefoot and is a resilient EVA based foam intended to provide cushion under the metatarsal region.

midsole

CMEVA is compression molded EVA which is an industry standard midsole material designed to offer durable cushioning. Formotion is a gender specific decoupled heel system designed to dissipate shock from heel strike. Torsion System runs along the bottom of the midfoot and is a wishbone shaped thermoplastic unit that is gender engineered to allow the forefoot and rearfoot to move independently for increased stability.

upper
Open Mesh is used throughout the upper and provides breathability. Adidas Logo overlays are strategically placed to wrap the upper around the foot. Traditional Sockliner AdiPrene 45 Last is a full length strobel last constructed from Adidas' most soft foam.

outsole
AdiWear is utilized in the lateral heel and is a durable carbon rubber. Blown Rubber is lightweight and offers grip for increased traction.

Comments: I love this shoe. I use SOF Arch Plus Insoles and they fit fine. The toe box is roomy. I have been running in Wave Riders for 6 years and will start cycling these into rotation. They have a similar "feel of the road" as the Riders.

Comments: I think the Adizero Boston is a great shoe. For someone who had had his fair share of Air, Waves, and Gels, it's nice to see Adidas stick with the basics and present a simple material-based running shoe. As a lightweight neutral runner, I love the simplicity and fit. I expect nothing from stock insoles and this shoe works incredibly well with my Superfeet insoles. I find that most performance shoes do not accommodate after-market insoles given their fit and construction but Adizero Boston works extremely well with them. I have not run in Adidas in years, so this shoe was a surprise and a welcomed change. Great shoe!

Comments: I bought these recently because I wanted to see what they were all about. As a lifelong "Nike guy" I wanted to branch out. I should have stayed with Nike. I'm a very lightweight runner (130 lbs) and the cushioning is pretty much non-existent. The heel and upper fit is fine, however the toebox felt a little sloppy. Nothing too major. It's the cushioning that's really lacking. Back to Nike for me.
