Customer Reviews

Comments: These shoes are awesome. I had a terrible case of shin splints. I tried every conceivable therapy including rest, NSAID's, high dose Prednisone, walking boot for a month, physical therapy, acupuncture, all to no avail. I spent the whole summer doing nothing and still had pain. I saw a review about these shoes and how they helped someone else so I figured what did I have to lose. Within 2 days I saw a tremendous improvement and now just over a week later I'm back doing my workouts all with no pain. I won't take these off. I wear them to work. It's unbelievable. I'm going to order a couple more pairs.

Comments: I have been running on Kayanos for over 15 years ..... I have gone through two pairs of the 18's ..... Good performance but for soem reason the quality of the material is not what it use to be... after just one month on both shoes the inside line at the heel disintegrated ..... never happened before.

Comments: I have the Kayano 18 and am very happy with them after about 1 month.  (run about 30 mi per week, 59 years old, 150 lbs). Stable, lots of cushioning, supportive.  I did not realize how bad my last shoes were until I tried these. I had to order a half size larger than past New Balance shoes.

Comments: Awesome shoe! I weigh about 275 and am new to regular running (obviously). I have been doing 2.5 miles almost every day for the last couple of weeks wearing some old garbage shoes. Bad idea. I had no clue that shoes mattered regarding gait and it left me with a brutal case of sore heels and what I learned was plantar fasciitis being the severely flat-footed overpronator that I am. Right out of the box, I did my longest and fastest run yet and my feet feel fine now the next day for the first time in a while. I'm an Asics fan, and this seems to be the best of 5 shoes they currently offer for someone with very flat feet (Kayano, 3030, 2170, Evolution and Foundation according to their website). I'm in love. I thought about trying the Brooks Beast if these didn't offer all the support I needed but so far so good, and they look much better to me. I measure at and have worn a 12 all my life, but ordered 12 and 12.5 in these and kept the 12.5. They feel a lot more comfortable in the toebox and actually moved with my foot through its range of motion, the 12 felt cramped in the toes and stiff. Order these a half size bigger than you measure and you'll be in foot heaven. had the best price on them too that I could find. Thanks so much!

Comments: I was running with the Mizuno Wave Creation for the last three years. Up until a week ago when I tried to order another pair I was unable to get the shoes the next due due to shipping issues. That's when I tried the Kayano.....OMG, this is not a good running shoe but a fantastic running shoe. The Wave Creation is also a good show however it does last last very long. Once the rubber wears off that's it you are now running on plastic. I have repeatedly raised this issue however it has fallen on deaf ears, That's okay because I am now addicted to Kayano. As we all know things happen for a reason...

Comments: I hate the new Kayano 18! The reason, it's such a fantastic shoe I'll have a very hard time putting on any of my many other running shoes. In fact, after receiving the white a few weeks ago I just ordered the red from RW. I had ordered the 17 last year but had to send them back as it ran large, this one fits great. I have been running with a few older Kayanos however mainly the Asic 2100 series. I'm big at 6' and 200 and run about 5 miles a day on cement with a few minor foot issues and the 18 has been the best shoe I've ever had (and I've also tried other brands like Brooks and NB etc). It's a little lighter which is nice as my older Asic's may be slightly heavier than I'd like. They also seem to be more cushioned and supportive. My feet have been been feeling great after my runs with these. Give them a try, if your like me you'll be quite happy you did (although your results may vary of course). And as usual RW is a great place to purchase from, good price and free fast

Comments: A great and innovative shoe.  Very different than the older Kayano shoes, which I had many versions of.  I've had two runs in them and have found them to be a perfect combination of softness, control, and speed.  Thanks to a year of minimalism and a funky supinating AND pronating left foot, I have been suffering from achilles tendonitis and posterior tibial tendon dysfunction for eight months and have been hobbling around in orthotics and an ankle brace for the past two months.  But I was able to run full out in the Kayano's from out of the box, sans orthotic and ankle brace for the past two days.  Probably the best shoe that I have owned in 25 years of running.  The insole seems to mold to my foot and supports it and cushions it where my foot needs it, rather than asking my foot to conform.  And the pronation control works for both the funky left foot and the normal right foot without, so far, asking my knee and other body parts to compensate for the control.  IMHO a remarkable and innovative shoe in a class of its own.

Comments: A much sleeker version with a lower faster feel. The post supports you with out being noticed and the upper isn't baggy. The best part is that the heel doesn't rub or irritate in any way...finally. A smooth comfy semisoft/firm ride. Better than the 15-17's high up and bulky feel. A great long easy pace type shoe.
