Customer Reviews

Comments: I have PTTD and PF (I know, hot mess)and the doctor suggested these with an orthotic and ankle brace. These shoes have great support but I don't like how stiff they feel. The gel if very rigid, but it provides stability to the Nth degree. I prefer the cushion of Lunarlon, but need the stability. So I bought a pair of Nike Eclipse and hope to get the best of both worlds. Plus the lockdown is much better on the forefoot where the Asics seem too roomy.

Comments: I am a (male) nurse and I am on my feet ALL day, over 12 hours. I can't tell you how many miles I log in a week, but it's a ton. I have always wore ASICS shoes, why?, because they are the best! I've tried Nike, NB, and Reebok, and my feet and back would ache. I always come back to ASICS. Most of all the nurses in my hospital wear ASICS, or Danskos (which I can't understand why)... I'll never change..LOVE THEM!

Comments: Great Shoe. This is my first pair of the Kayano 19 and so far very pleased. Very comfortable even though i don't run due to knee injury, i walk 3-5 miles each day. The 19 has all the support and cushion i need. I use to wear the GT 1000 but these are much better for my needs. Will buy again.

Comments: So far very nice, I bought my first pair of 19's three weeks ago and have been happy with the results. I'm reading they run big but haven't experienced that so far. I run 10 miles a day and the ride has been very smooth. I'd give them an 8.5 out of 10. Have a great run!

Comments: Great shoe! I've got almost 400 miles in them and the soles are still holding up, hope to get 600-650 miles out of them. No joint pain either!

Comments: Glad RW adjusted Shoeftr since I ordered and returned the 19s. Recommendation was to order size 15 if you wore a size 14 in the Kayano 18 and between a size 14 & 15 if you wore a size 14 in the Kayano 17. The Kayano 19 did not fit me well, size 15 was huge both in length and the width of the toe box. I can still get a good price at my LRS on the 18s so I'll stick with that. The 19 runs big IMHO.

Comments: The Kayano 19's are my dream shoe, have already purchased three pair!! First thing, RW states this shoe runs a 1/2 size large however I didn't find that, it may run slightly large in my opinion, nothing like the 17's from a couple of years ago which ran at least a 1/2 size big. When I put the 19's on I initially thought it didn't have enough padding and felt too stiff/hard, said why did Asics change the 18 which I've been quite happy with. Took them out for a run and haven't been able to take them off since, definitely the most comfortable shoe I've ever run in. They are lighter than previous Kayanos which is nice and seem better padded. I give my shoes a heavy workout as I'm 6' & 200 pds and run five miles on cement about 6 days a week. I've read some mixed reviews on the 19's on the web and really don't understand the negatives however I guess results vary on the type of runner you are. I'm afraid I may not like the 20's so I'll probably stock up on the 19's just in case. As usual RW is a great place to purchase from with excellent prices and free two day delivery!

Comments: 3 Stars, kind of disappointed in this shoe. Found it definitely runs large after about a month of use, and some unfortunate stretching, which is very odd for a fully synthetic shoe. I would have expected better.
From: Adam, Washington, DC, USA

Comments: Totally agree with the first comment. Lighter and more responsive than the gt2000 or the nimbus 14.
From: Jonathan, Allen, TX

Comments: Feels much more sporty vs stodgy. A more flexible, cushioned and faster ride. The platform is less stable (a wee bit) and way more responsive. The 2000 gt feels more stiff and slow by comparison.
