The Adidas Supernova Sequence 2 is a moderate featured shoe designed for mild to moderate over-pronators. This everyday training shoe is built with a semi-curved shape.

cushioning
3D Formotion is a decoupled heel system designed to dissipate shock from heel strike. adiPRENE is located in the heel and is a resilient EVA based foam engineered to cushion the heel at impact. adiPRENE+ is utilized in the forefoot and is a resilient EVA based foam intended to provide cushion under the metatarsal region.

midsole

CMEVA is compression molded EVA which is an industry standard midsole material designed to offer durable cushioning.
Pro-moderator is located at the medial midfoot and is a firm sheath like unit co-molded onto the CMEVA midsole. It is designed to reduce excess overpronation.
3D Formotion is a decoupled heel system designed to dissipate shock from heel strike.
Torsion System runs along the bottom of the midfoot and is a wishbone shaped thermoplastic unit that is gender engineered to allow the forefoot and rearfoot to move independently for increased stability.

Open Mesh is used throughout the upper and provides breathability.
Geofit is located at the collar of the heel and is composed of memory foam intended to enhance comfort and improve fit.
Adidas Logo overlays are strategically placed to wrap the upper around the foot.
AdiLite/respoEVA Sockliner is an antimicrobial insole designed for increased underfoot cushion.
Lightstrike 55 Last is a full length strobel last constructed from a lightweight moderately soft foam.

outsole
AdiWear is utilized in the heel and medial forefoot and is a durable carbon rubber. Blown Rubber is lightweight and offers grip for increased traction.

Comments: Been using this since July 2009 and I am pleased with the amount of cushioning and support that this shoe gives. Though a little heavy- but, you get used to it. I have been using the shoe for both my training and racing, but I intend to buy another one as long as my 600-km old shoes bite the dust, as well as other shoes for actual races.

Comments: I've used the adidas Supernova since it was the Control 10. I like the new styling and the shoe feels fairly similar to the previous models. However, I wish they would stop changing the tongue and eyelets! Just when I get the lacing situation figured out to stop the laces from cutting into my tendons, they make slight changes to the materials in the vamp and tongue and add new eyelets. I am going to have to go through the lacing trial and error process all over again.

Comments: These are significantly better than the Supernova Sequence 1's- significantly more cushioning on the tongue (doesn't seem necessary, but makes for a much smoother ride), along with a more breathable top. The minute you put them on, you will want to run. They are extremely durable and haven't caused me any problems during the weeks that exceed 80 miles with a good amount on the pavement. Definitely worth trying.

Comments: Great Shoe!! I have now used them for about a week. They have great forefoot cushioning with enough stability for my moderate over-pronation. There is no heel slippage as I had experienced with the Mizuno Inspire 5. There is plenty of width in the forefoot and is a great shoe in rotation with the Asics 2140's. I would highly recommend giving these a try. I had never tried adidas before, but I'm very impressed.
