Comments: I had heard about the inov8 line and had read a few of their reviews. Seemed like what I was looking for, and the way people raved on about them... My Flyroc 310s arrived in the mail about 1 1/2 weeks before a 40 mile trail race. There was little time to break them in before the race, so the very night they arrived I put them on and ran 10 miles on the roads around my house. No hot spots, no blisters, and a reasonably smooth ride even on asphalt. Took them out for an 11 mile trail run, followed by a 15 mile trail run in the next several days. I have never been more pleased with a shoe right out of the gate. They are light and fast on the trails, you get plenty of good grip in various trail conditions, and not a single blemish on either foot! I did notice that my lower legs were slightly more tired than for similar runs in my previous trial shoes. The high flexibility of the footbed does seem to make you work a little harder for ankle stability during the run. But in the end I think that should make me a stronger runner. I ran the 40 miler that next weekend without any foot trouble. I have since hiked to the top of Mount Werner and run up Emerald Mountain (Steamboat Springs) and have hiked all through Arches National Park. The shoes still look brank new! I like these shoes so much that I just ordered a pair of Terroc 330s. If you have good foot mechanics and do nto require the support of traditional trail shoes, then I highly recommend these trail runners. From here on out Inov8 is my shoe of choice.
