Comments: Surprised at how effective and seamless a fit this shoe is--not for speed runs, but definitely a go-to for the trail and the treadmill- and for general walking around. They have replaced the Altra for me as it has a more sock-like fit, and as others have mentioned, the midsole a bit softer. Reminds me of Nike's Air Hurauche from 20 years ago, haven't seen a shoe like it on the market since, which seems quite odd. In any case, I am finding this shoe to be one of a kind... so kudos to Merrell.

Comments: Probably my new favorite shoe! The BA2 has the perfect amount of cushioning (not too thin and definitely not too thick). The flexibility is pretty decent considering the amount of cushioning. The tread and vibram outsole have the perfet grip and durrability, and the classic Merrell fit is there to greet you as always. Great breathability and no inner irritants whatsoever. My initial gripe was with the pronounced and oddly shaped arch. This is not because i dislike arch support (I prefer a little material there) but because the arch was unusually long, dense and high. Nevertheless after taking this shoe for several runs I began to not notice and the true beauty of this shoe had began to show. I definitely recommend to anyone who loves Merrell to get the BA2. The arch will initially feel weird but don't worry about it or you'll pass up on a great shoe. P.S. I wear a 9.5 in the trail glove and a 9 in the BA2. So it does run a bit large like some people have said.

Comments: Love these running shoes. I wear the Merrell trail glove around all day but for my morning 6 mile runs on asphalt and concrete these give the perfect amount of firm cushion that I need. Love the zero drop/ wide toe box/ light weight.

Comments: I found these to be a great improvement to the previous version of Bare Access. The full Vibram outsole is a huge upgrade compared to the foamy stuff used before. I've already put 100+ on these shoes and have had no irritation/rub issues. Does run a half size larger as mentioned in the fitting. These are very similar to the New Balance Minimus MR00's. Does very well over stones and gravel on the roads. One thing you will notice is that it picks up small pebbles but does not cause any problems to the way it rides. The tread sounds cool too, almost like a tire going over the pavement.
