So smooth you won't believe it's a moderate support shoe. The Wave Inspire 6 builds off of previous success and takes full advantage of Mizuno's Wave technology. The shoe dissipates shock and minimizes mild to moderate over-pronation in a seamless manner, which results in an effortless and fantastic ride. A tad lighter than similar shoes, the Wave Inspire 6 just wants to be let out of the box and run to exhaustion.

The Inspire 6 is a moderate feature, moderate support shoe designed for daily training and high mileage. it is built with a semi-straight shape.

  • Mizuno Wave extends from the heel to the midfoot and is composed of an elastic thermal plastic material shaped in a composite double fan wave pattern. This corrugated design allows for vertical deformation during heel strike to absorb impact while reducing pronation.
  • VS-1 is positioned in the heel and is a cushioning material to further provide shock absorption.
  • AP is a full length midsole copolymer material that provides lightweight, responsive, yet durable cushioning.
  • Smooth Ride is located at the lateral heel and across the entire forefoot and is a gender specific network of grooves to minimize the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition to create a smooth ride.
  • Extended Wave Plate is located at the bottom of the midfoot and is an extension of the Mizuno Wave. It preserves the torsional rigidity between the heel and forefoot.
  • Intercool is a full length ventilation system that allows heat and humidity from inside the shoe to exit via ports located in the midsole of the heel.
  • AIRmesh covers the entire upper and provides breathability to keep the foot cool.
  • Mizuno logo is located at both the medial and lateral sides and functions to help hold the foot in place.
  • OrthoLite Sockliner is an anti-microbial and moisture wicking insole that promotes a healthy environment for feet.
  • Dynamotion Fit is Mizuno's design philosophy to create optimal fit with stretch material located in the forefoot and a collar construction that prevents the heel collar from buckling under load.
  • X10 is located in the heel and forefoot for enhanced traction and is composed of durable carbon rubber.

Customer Reviews

Comments: Hello Mizuno Inspire!!! Good bye Brooks Adrenaline (overall great support shoe but anemic forefoot cushioning). I'm 5'11" 165lbs, medium/low arch/wide, fore/mid foot strike. If you're similar, you'll be very happy. Longest run on shoe to date is 13mi@ 7.10min pace. Shoe was nimble and supportive at 5min pace asphalt run. Based on how awesome the shoe rides, I've picked up a 2nd pair for Boston 2011.

Comments: These are great shoes.  Been a fan of Wave Inspire for a while.  Light and supportive is a tough combo to beat.  I jump around between Asics 2100 series and Brooks Adrenaline GTS but I always make my back to the Wave Inspire.  Really can't be beat.
From: Mike, Atlanta, GA, USA

Comments: I've been running in this series of shoe for 3 years starting w/ the Wave Inspire 4. Their great out of the box and seem to last me around 350+ miles or so.  I'm on my 4th pair and won't consider switching because of my long, narrow foot.  This shoe just fits.
From: Joel, Austin, TX, USA

Comments: This is truly the best running shoe I've ever had! You couldn't pay me to switch. I would recommend the Wave Inspire to any runner.
From: Shane, Chicago, IL, USA

Comments: First off I would like thank Running Warehouse for the fast shipment. This is great shoe that has a nice ride and a good feel overall. Very comfortable. I was fully satisfied and would highly recommed this shoe to any beginner or veteran runner.
From: Gonzalez, Edinburg, TX, USA

Comments:  Great shoe, has that SWEET balance of cushion and stability.
From: Blaine, Lafayette, USA

Comments: Stoked with this shoe! Although I have been in ASICS for a long time, I went against my shoe brand snobbery, and I'm so happy I did. This shoe is rated as a moderate cushioned shoe, but feels just as cushioned as my old ASICS and a heck of a lot lighter... only about 40 miles into these shoes, but already impressed.
From: Andrew, Atascadero, CA

Comments: This is one of the most extraordinarily balanced shoes in the Mizuno running footwear line. Light, responsive and nimble. It strengthens the foot muscles and lower legs. It has a low to the ground, stripped down feel. A real "Hot Rod" of a shoe, more like the ASICS Gel Lytes back in the 1980's, but with a more modern engineering.
