The Mountain Masochist is a minimum feature, minimum support trail shoe designed for trail racing and daily training. It is built with  semi-curved shape.

CUSHIONING

  • CMEVA is a full length compression molded EVA midsole engineered for cushioning and increased energy return.
MIDSOLE
  • CMEVA is a full length compression molded EVA midsole engineered for cushioning and increased energy return.
  • Medial Posting is utilized at the midfoot and consists of a higher density foam to slow the rate of pronation.
UPPER
  • Open Mesh is used throughout the upper and allows for lightweight breathability.
  • Toe Counter is composed of synthetic overlays and is designed to protect the toes from obstacles on the trail.
  • Gusseted Tongue is designed to keep out debris.

  • Traditional Last is a full length strobel last engineered for enhanced underfoot cushioning.
OUTSOLE
  • Gryptonite Trail is a sticky outsole rubber designed for optimal traction and durability on both wet and dry surfaces.
  • Deflecting Lugs are located at the center of the forefoot and is designed for cushioning on hard surfaces.
  • Digging Lugs are positioned at the perimeter of the outsole to provide traction for up and downhill runs.
  • Trail Shield is co-molded between the outsole and midsole and is a flexible composite material engineered to protect against rock bruises.
