feedback for Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Men's Shoes Sil/Or:
Comments: I train in several different shoes, but I keep coming back to the Wave Rider. It's just a nice, neutral shoe that seems to work for a wide range of runners (about half of my team uses them). I had two pairs of the 11 series and the 12's seem like a small improvement - nicer materials used on the insole and upper. I haven't had the issues others mention with durability.

Comments: Choices are limited for a light (150 lb, fast) wide foot (2E) marathon runner, but the Mizuno Wave Rider 12 is the best lighter weight, wide shoe on the market. I tried the NB 903, which I loved; however, id did not have enough cushion for the long runs. The Wave Rider fits like a glove, has adequate cushion, a low profile and great heel to toe transition. This is an amazing shoe for training and racing.

Comments: Great feeling shoe right out of the box. Good combination of support and flexibility. Durability issues: worn down after a few weeks. Less than 200 miles.

Comments: This shoe is a perfect everyday trainer for someone who likes to go fast, but they don't last long. I can only get 200 good miles out of them. But that being said, I've tried tons of other trainers and I still like these the best. (5'7" 125 male/60-70 miles per week, collegiate runner.)

Comments: 154 lbs, 6ft. This shoe is a definite improvement from the Wave Rider 11. I tend to stick with a shoe brand when I like this fit but the change from Wave Rider 10 to 11 wasn't a good transition. The change to 12's however was a redemption for my confidence in Mizuno. There is plenty of spring and support in the shoe. Like all Mizuno's I've bought, I ran 7 miles first time out without any discomfort of breaking in a new shoe.

Comments:I am a 190 pound midfoot striker..who wears an orthotic in left shoe only..nothing needed in right shoe...I think this shoe is awesome..Mizuno is now using an ortholite sock liner which gives it a very plush feel...The Rider's heel to toe transition is so good the shoe is very appropriately named...because it just feels like you are along for the ride....I have had to wear a 9.5 in some previous Rider models but this one my regular size 9 feels just fine...I dont know how well it will hold up with my weight but I plan on using it for shorter runs and shorter races of 10k or less...Will continue to use Saucony Triiumphs for long slow runs...
