Introduction

The New Balance 1123 is a maximum featured shoe due to its motion control and cushioning technologies. It is engineered for severe overpronation and is intended for the high mileage or larger runner. This shoe is built on the SL-2 last, which provides more volume in the toe box, a higher instep and a narrower heel. The 1123 has a straight shape.

Cushioning

• ABZORB SBS is located in the heel and forefoot. ABZORB SBS is a non-cellular elastomer that absorbs shock and does not break down.

Midsole

• ABZORB FL is a full-length midsole unit. ABZORB FL is the highest grade midsole from New Balance and is composed of DuPont Engage and isoprene rubber. This midsole offers great durability and a cushioned ride.
• Single Density Polyurethane is extends from the midfoot to the heel and is a very resilient rubber used to withstand constant pounding.
• ROLLBAR is located near the heel and is a TPU post designed to minimize rear foot movement.

Upper

• Synthetic Mesh is utilized throughout the upper and is a lightweight breathable material.
• Suede Overlays are added to the upper for additional comfort and support.
• NLOCK is an integrated lacing and webbing system that provides optimal fit, support and security.
• Multi-Density Insert is located underfoot and provides added cushioning and support.

Outsole

• Ndurance is located in the heel and the lateral side of the outsole. Ndurance is a highly durable carbon rubber.
• Blown rubber is located in the forefoot and is used to increase cushioning and responsiveness.
