Customer Reviews

Comments: love em!! bomb grip for tundra, dirt, mud. not great on rocks esp if they're wet but that's been my experience w speedcross shoes, too. they will be fantastic in the snow/ice. great for bombing up/down steep steep slopes when you make your own trail!!! fit is pretty consistent with later models of speedcross and mantras. i'm a solid men's 8 in everything salomon and these are no different! get em!!!

Comments: Really like these shoes for winter running and mud. The grip is phenomenal on all surfaces and I feel very confident bombing downhills even on muddy or slippery trails. The sizing was a bit challenging because the fit is quite narrow. I am between 11 and 11.5 for most shoes. Initially I went with 11 for these shoes but they seemed too tight at the front. I changed to size 11.5 which fitted much better, but now the shoes seemed a bit too long - they are longer than all of my other shoes. Than felt a bit awkward at first but then I got used to that and don't notice that anymore. After initial break in period of about 40 miles the fit got a bit roomier and now I think that perhaps I should've gone with the smaller size. On the other hand the roomier fit allows me to run in thicker socks like DryMax which is a plus for winter running and the overall fit is still quite secure. At $170 these shoes are quite expensive but I've got them on sale at a significant discount so overall I am very satisfied.
