Comments: Just did a 15 miler in these shoes, and am now totally sold. My feet do feel a lot less beat up than when I did 15 miles in the Kinvaras, and the extra weight really didn't slow me down at all at that distance. Perfect balance of responsiveness and cushioning. Am tempted to buy another pair, because the blue and white Mirage 3 looks kind of ugly!

Comments: Just did a 6 miler on asphalt and packed/rocky dirt with these, fresh out of the box... felt great, coming from the Kinvara 3s and Fastwitch 4. I bought these for +15 mile runs and marathons, when the Kinvaras feel like too little shoe and the Fastwitch feels like too hard shoes...will report back after a few days when I've had a chance to do a long one with these, but so far am loving them... for some reason I find it easier to land directly under my body with these than with the Kinvaras, and the extra 1.5oz is really not bad at all...these shoes do have a certain "authority" in terms of how stable and rooted they make each of my footplants feel... guess I will keep the Kins for short easy runs and hills, and the Fastwitch for speedwork.

Comments: They are good shoes, but I transitioned to these from Nike zooms and the transition was/still is miserable. These shoes have a 4mm drop as opposed to almost all nikes with a 9mm drop. My shins hurt for the first 20-30 miles in these shoes, but my shins are starting to come around. I have a size 9.5 and these feel slightly bulky definitely not a road racing shoe. I use these for track workouts and like I said definitely takes getting used to. I might just be a Nike guy, but who knows? Overall, I say that you are taking a gamble with these shoes especially if you're used to a 9+ mm drop.

Comments: Great shoe right out of the box.  I run 30-40 miles a week at around a 8:00 Min pace. Wanted a lighter shoe with the support these advertised and they meet their description perfectly.  For me the fit is true, I don't really know why the shoe fit guide here suggested a 1/2 size smaller, as it is absolutely not necessary for me.  My foot borders on wide, but most medium width shoes fit, and these hold true to that.

I would definitely recommend these to anyone wanting to head towards a shoe with a minimalist attitude, but support and cushioning to ease the transition.  Great shoe for training and racing any distance for me.

Comments: Saucony mirage 2 is finally a Saucony product that fits me well...have been running in Nike elite so the lower heel drop of Mirage2 is something i am being careful with .......some runners can make the switch quickly.....i am not one of them....I will stay using Nike elite 5 and work my way into mirage2 some walking and very slow jogging in these...I used saucony many moons ago so wanted to find Saucony that will work in the future for me...Mirage2 has some support with under 10 oz for size 9....5mm heel drop.....nice design ....

Comments: These shoes are great, i was running in Saucony Progrid Guide 5's before so i felt the difference in heel to toe at first but i got used to it after a few runs and its really strengthened my calves. I put in around 35-40 miles a week and these are just fine for that

Comments: I've gone through 2 pairs of these now. The 4 mm drop is noticeable and if you're not used to it, it can be a little awkward starting out. The upper on the Mirage 2 is much improved from the Mirage 1 as it has far fewer overlays and the wrap feels good in the midfoot. They also fixed a problem with the heel collar where the offset near the laces seemed to close to the ankle bone causing rubbing in the Mirage 1. This is no longer a problem with the Mirage 2. The forefoot is slightly wider than average so that is a plus for many. The midsole material is on the firm side which makes for a responsive ride but it's not necessarily super smooth (this always seems to be the trade off) as it feels slightly disjointed from midfoot to forefoot follow through. The pronation control mechanism in these shoes is barely noticeable and the arch fit is snug. If you are looking for a light-stability cousin of the Kinvara's - these are likely not it. They are a far more firm ride compared to the Kinvaras from what I understand. Finally, the outsole is nothing to write home about. It's certainly a durable hard carbon and has a lot of road contact but it's quite slippery even when the shoes are new. Overall, it's a decently lightweight trainer for somebody looking for a touch of support but beware of the firmness and the 4mm drop which can cause the ride to be not quite as smooth as you'd like. Other than that - great update to a solid shoe.

Comments: Having put about 160 miles in these in about 3 weeks, I am very pleased. Came from the Kinvara to these. The cushioning is much firmer than the Kinvara, and your feet feel significantly more protected. In addition these have a much better fit than any other shoe I've worn, and especially the super-narrow Kinvara. If you like low heel-to-toe deficit shoes, these are great for high-mileage training. They are a little plush for racing anything under half marathon, or any training under 6:00 min pace, and if your used to neutral shoes the stability is sizeable, though nothing that can't be adjusted to. Anything other than that, though, these are excellent pair of shoes.

Comments: I run 40-60 Miles per week at 6:30 to 7:40 pace, I bought these shoes for tempo runs of 6-12 miles and interval training on the track. I absolutely love the 4mm offset and thick forefoot cushioning. I recommend these shoes for anyone with mid/fore foot strike. I do not use these for long slow runs and do not recommend them for that as i often heel strike after 12 to 13 miles. I would not try to push these shoes over 300 miles. A very good shoe for conditional use and a great half marathon shoe.
