Salomon's XT Wings is rated as a maximum featured shoe because of its Agile Chassis System (ACS) and advanced upper construction. The XT Wings is designed for runners with mild overpronation and is intended to be used as a daily trail running shoe. It has a curved overall shape.

AC2 Muscle extends from the heel to the mid-forefoot and is sandwiched between the outsole and AC Skeleton. This composite foam is designed to provide cushioning.

midsole
