The Zoot Ultra TT 2.0 is a moderate featured shoe intended for neutral or supinating runners. This lightweight training shoe is designed for everyday training and racing and is built from the Zoot 1 Last, resulting in a semi-curved shape.

Z-bound extends from the midfoot to the forefoot and is a lightweight, resilient foam that is designed for increased energy return.

midsole
ZVA is a full length midsole that is engineered to provide a lightweight cushioned ride. Z-bound extends from the midfoot to the forefoot and is a lightweight, resilient foam that is designed for increased energy return. Carbon Span is located at the bottom of the midfoot and is intended to resist torsional flex.

upper

BareFit encompasses the entire upper and is constructed to allow for sockless wear. It is lined with Dri-Lex fabric which has Smart Silver designed to reduce moisture, odor, and hot spots. Neoprene Panel is an asymmetrical perforated neoprene panel which is intended to be form fitting for an adapting fit. Tri-Dry are water draining holes in the forefoot. Intac Grabbers are located on the heel and top of tongue to allow for easy shoe entry. Quick-Lace is an elastic closure system that is engineered for quick entry with a single-handed pull. Ultra Tri Sockliner is a perforated insole to allow for speedy water drainage.

Carbon Rubber is utilized at the heel and is designed for durability. Blown Rubber provides lightweight traction in the forefoot. Zpu is located at the forefoot and is a lightweight dot pattern engineered for grip.

Comments: The shoes are really light and comfortable. I'm use to Asics so this was my first Zoot. I think the shoe is totally designed for midfoot strikers, which works for me.  The support starts from the heal but ends at the arch. I ran with my arch supports in the shoe for more support at well. I will probably run with these during spirit TRIs and maybe a few tempo/speed runs. The main issue with this shoe and probably all the Zoots is the quick pull strings. The locking mechanism is really bad designed. They should have put an plastic lock vs a shoe lock, where you have to pull the strings up to lock them in place. During my runs, the strings would go loose because the foot will flex and pull the strings. My solution was to just put some tape around the strings so they stay locked in place. If you run marathons or use the Poise running, this shoe is not for you. It is definitely designed around TRIs, where you don't have allot of leg shift from the swim/bike...more a shuffle run.   Website was excellent, no issues.

Comments: My first tempo run was amazingly quick with no fatique at all. They really come into their element once you break past the 8 min/mile pace barrier. The energy return actually felt like I was runnning with less effort once I broke below a 7 minute pace. Some longstanding records are going down this season.

Comments: I must bought mine and thought they were very expensive. However, after running a 5 mile tempo run this morning, I am SOLD! These shoes are the best I have ever ran in- barefoot! No blisters, and my feet are like a baby's butt, nice and soft, so I always get blisters. Very well worth the expense!
