A versatile zero-drop shoe that can handle all kinds of runs, the Altra Intuition 1.5 features minimal cushioning and a firm ride.

Built on the principles of natural running, the Altra Intuition 1.5 undergoes minimal changes from its award-winning predecessor. The platform is level with the ground from heel to forefoot, promoting a natural footstrike. A spacious forefoot allows your toes to spread out and grip the ground for better balance and a more natural ride. With its protective midsole, this shoe will take you as far as you can run.

Customer Reviews

Comments: First -- Running Warehouse has great customer service! I purchased the Altra Intuition 1.5 because I was looking for a shoe with a minimalist spirit but some support and cushioning for marathon training. I ordered up a half size and initially thought they were way too wide, but after a couple of runs I realized these shoes are designed to put no pressure whatsoever on the toes and the top of the foot. It's an odd feeling but now that I am used to it, my push off is much stronger and the bones in my feet don't hurt after a long run. I tried running in my traditional Mizunos yesterday and my feet felt claustrophobic! I am an Altra convert. I recommend these shoes to anyone interested in running with a mid or forefoot strike.

Comments: As a zero drop shoe fan I was looking forward to trying these. First I contacted a sales rep at Altra and was advised to buy a 1/2 size up from my normal running shoe size which as I explained is already 1/2 size up from my shoe size. I wear a 7.5, run in an 8 and ordered these in an 8.5. Way too big. Felt like running in clown shoes. Returned them because has such an easy return policy and ordered a size down from Altra itself. Size 8. They fit much better but I am sending these back as well. Dislikes: The shoe curves toward the big toe in the front and in the correct size (size 8) rubbed the front and tops of my smaller toes. The heel slipped in both sizes. I have never had a heel slip issue which leads me to believe it's a construction issue. It felt like running in an old Converse tennis shoe. They bend but they don't really flex. My foot cramped less than two miles into the run. Likes: The colors and construction. They look very good on the foot. The concept. Altra is onto something but it needs work in this model.

Comments: I just love these shoes!  I was looking for a shoe with a wide toe box, as I have a wider foot than most and get blisters on my toes. I did buy a bigger shoe than usual.  I went with a 9 1/2 and I usually run in a 8 1/2. I would recommend going up at least a 1/2 size to a full size with these shoes. I just ran 13 miles in it today and no blisters, YEA! They are zero drop, so it has my foot in a more natral position. I would recommend running a small distance and building up slowly as my calves are sore from going to a zero drop shoe.  It has cushioning in the shoe, so it is like barefoot running with cushioning, LOVE IT! I plan on running my marathon in these shoes.
