Customer Reviews

Comments: Love this shoe! This is perfect for me being a heavy runner 160lb+ with some forefoot pain issues working on training for my first marathon. Pain is gone and I recover much faster after my long runs. Took these out of the box and ran a 7 miler and then a couple days later a 20 miler! Love them! I wear a 9.5 unusually and have never gone a size up until this shoe! I would highly recommend 1/2 sizing up!

Comments: WOW. What a great shoe. My favorite ever! I paired them with Injinj toe socks. What a perfect combo. I hope I get a lot of mileage out of these. If so, they will be my next shoe, too! I did have to go up a 1/2 size.

Comments: The Altra Torin is wonderful. I love the wide forefoot and low heel of Altra shoes! My feet feel better in shoes with cushioning, so I really appreciate the additional cushioning in this shoe.

Comments: I transitioned to zero drop in these shoes and they are still my favorite. Cushy enough to keep my heel spur from acting up, but plenty of road feel. The shape of the shoe exactly matches my foot, wider through the ball of the foot and plenty of wiggle room for the toes. I naturally run on my forefoot so the transition was easier for me than for most. I also have a pair of Newtons (which also encourage forefoot strike) but my Torins are by far my favorite. They do run about a half size small.

Comments: Wow... just wow. These are exactly what I have been looking for. My former road shoe was the NB Minimus road and I needed some more cushioning for marathon training. Right out of the box, I took them out for a 7 miler. Smooth ride, comfortable, great fit. I have been running in minimalist shoes for 2 years now and I don't advise trying these unless you have experience with zero drop. I wear a size 8 and I did not have to size up...they fit great. Forgot to mention I have been battling flare ups while in this shoe. Nice work, Altra!

Comments: Bought these and ordered according to RW's shoe sizing guide. Stated I was a 7 in comparison to my current shoe. After having my order cancelled because of a shipping error, I finally received the shoe (now having to order the color I did't want). Sure enough, it is a 1/2 size too small. Sending back to try again, I'll let you all know.

Comments: I love this shoe! They have great cushion for a zero drop shoe and the wide toe box allow for an unconstricted forefoot. Currently my favorite in a rotation of 6 different shoes.

Comments: I was very drawn to this shoe with the zero drop, wide toe box, neutral and high cushion. I tested three sizes - it seems to fit about 1/2 size small. The concept is awesome, however, unfortunately the overall fit is sloppy. I have a high arch but otherwise medium width, low-volume foot. Sad to say, I sent the shoe back.
