  • Full-length DNA is a high energy return cushioning device consisting of highly viscous liquid that performs like millions of "nanosprings". Full-length DNA is designed to tailor the level of cushioning to each individual's weight, pace, biomechanics, and running environment.

  • BioMoGo is Brook's premium midsole material. BioMoGo is designed to offer resilient cushioning and extends the full length of the midsole. BioMoGo is also environmentally friendly, as it will biodegrade 50 times faster in a landfill compared to traditional foam midsoles.
  • Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB) begins at the medial heel and extends through to the medial forefoot. PDRB is a tri-density BioMoGo construction which is desgned to smoothly reduce excess pronation.
  • DRB Accel is located at the bottom of the midsole in the midfoot. DRB Accel is an injected thermoplastic polyurethane unit which is intended to balance support and torsional rigidity with responsiveness for smooth and fast heel-to-toe movement.
  • Stable Pod Configuration is a midsole/outsole design pattern intended to set the foot up for an efficient, balanced position from heel to toe. The focus of this design is on stability and responsiveness.
  • Element Mesh is a moisture-managing, breathable mesh that covers large expanses of the upper.
  • Synthetic Overlays are strategically located with the purpose of providing a secure fit.
  • Element Linings lie along the underside of the upper to aid in moisture transfer and comfort.
  • Profile Sockliner sits underfoot and is made of BioMoGo for cushioning and forms a contoured support sensation.
  • Cushole S-257 Last utilizes a full length layer of advanced foam to provide cushioning and flexibility.
  • HPR Plus is a form of high abrasion-resistant rubber and is located in the heel.
  • Blown Rubber is located in the forefoot to provide responsiveness and flexibilty.
  • Stable Pod Configuration is a midsole/outsole design pattern intended to set the foot up for an efficient, balanced position from heel to toe. The focus of this design is on stability and responsiveness.

Customer Reviews

Comments: Wow, I'm really enjoying these shoes.  They definitely seem like they are as described, firmer and softer at times.  I also like that the toe box is roomy, they are a tiny bit flatter (only a 10 mm heel toe drop) and I don't even seem to need my "special" insoles I've always used for my Mizuno's. Seem great, I've put about 30 miles on them and I'm happy.

Comments: I love my Trance 9's and ordered the Trance 10 in the same size.  They are a great support shoe with more cushioning than most.  Unfortunately, the Trance 10's were slightly too small when they arrived.  I placed the Trance 9's and 10's side by side,  and saw a noticeable 1/2 to 1 size difference.  I had to size up a full size for the Trance 10's.

Comments: This is my third pair of Brooks Trance running shoes and I cannot find a shoe I love better!  I always come back to my Trance!  The new Trance 10 is even better than the Trance 9!  I run about 30 miles a week  and require a shoe with support for overpronation.  These shoes provide comfort and support combined with good looks!  They aren't clunky and heavy.  When I wore the Trance 10 for the first time I immediately noticed the cushion and comfort, and it also seems that there is a bit more room in the toe box, which is always great!  You can't top this shoe!
