The Inspire 6 is a moderate feature, moderate support shoe designed for daily training and high mileage. it is built with a semi-straight shape.

  • Mizuno Wave extends from the heel to the midfoot and is composed of an elastic thermal plastic material shaped in a composite double fan wave pattern. This corrugated design allows for vertical deformation during heel strike to absorb impact while reducing pronation.
  • VS-1 is positioned in the heel and is a cushioning material to further provide shock absorption.

  • AP is a full length midsole copolymer material that provides lightweight, responsive, yet durable cushioning.
  • Smooth Ride is located at the lateral heel and across the entire forefoot and is a gender specific network of grooves to minimize the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition to create a smooth ride.
  • Extended Wave Plate is located at the bottom of the midfoot and is an extension of the Mizuno Wave. It preserves the torsional rigidity between the heel and forefoot.
  • Intercool is a full length ventilation system that allows heat and humidity from inside the shoe to exit via ports located in the midsole of the heel.

  • AIRmesh covers the entire upper and provides breathability to keep the foot cool.
  • Mizuno logo is located at both the medial and lateral sides and functions to help hold the foot in place.
  • OrthoLite Sockliner is an anti-microbial and moisture wicking insole that promotes a healthy environment for feet.
  • Dynamotion Fit is Mizuno's design philosophy to create optimal fit with stretch material located in the forefoot and a collar construction that prevents the heel collar from buckling under load.

  • X10 is located in the heel and forefoot for enhanced traction and is composed of durable carbon rubber.

Customer Reviews

Comments: I have really enjoyed these shoes. I had an ACL reconstruction 6 months ago and just started back running on the treadmill. Great cushioning and pronation control! I have a very narrow heel and these shoes fit me perfectly.
From: Jackie, Woodridge, IL, USA

Comments: These do hug your feet, and they are extremely light but I didn't feel like their was enough cushioning.  I will wear them for shorter miles or for the treadmill and use my Saucony's for the longer miles.
From: Jen, Houston, TX, USA

Comments: Really lightweight and a great value. Not the most support, but they're very easy to run in for long and short distances.
From: Sara, San Jose, CA, USA

Comments: Gotta admit, I never was a Mizuno fan and then, all of a sudden, I try these and I"m loving them.  I always have foot issues and so far, so good with these even without a special insole.  I hope it's not too good to be true.  I put these on and they feel like a hug for my feet.  But, not too soft.  Yea!
From: Linda, Langhorne, PA, USA

Comments: The Inspire is my Go-To running shoe.  I run about 15-20 miles per week and have never had any issues.  I feel that Mizuno has made this shoe better with each model!  Never any break in period, always a comfortable ride.  Sizable toe box and enough cushion and support for any run!
From: Kriston, KY, USA

Comments:  I've loved and worn wave Inspries for several years, but very disappointed to find the 6 runs much narrower overall. Why do they always mess with a good thing!?
From: Jill, Piqua, OH, USA

Comments: I like these sneakers a lot.  They are a half size smaller than the Wave Inspire 5, but just as comfortable!
