Nike's LunaRacer+ 2 is a moderate featured shoe thanks to the LunarLite midsole system designed to provide cushioning and support. The LunaRacer+ 2 is designed for neutral pronation or supination and is intended for speedwork and racing. It is built from the QMR-5 last which results in a curved overall shape.

LunarLite system is composed of a LunarLite foam core bonded to a Phylon carrier and is intended to enhance cushioning with increased energy return.

Virtual medial post is located on the medial side and is a composite blend of the LunarLite material with Phylon to create an increased density to help reduce overpronation.
