Details:

When you need stability and comfort, look to the Saucony Guide 6. This crowd-pleasing shoe uses dual-density foam to correct over pronating feet, and features an 8mm drop for a more natural stride. A heel crash pad absorbs impact and moves with your foot, while flex grooves create a fluid ride with every step. The open mesh breathes well, and the soft tongue and heel collar wrap your foot for a close, secure fit.

Comments: Good shoe. Runs a bit smaller than the Guide 5 so I sized 1/2 size up (which is my usual size anyway). Nice fit, enough room for my toes, heel is nicely cupped, adequate arch support and def an upgrade in terms of color choices. The Guide 5 seemed like a 'slow' shoe...this is not a racing flat either but it seems more flexible and with a bit more cushioning in the midsole which I like. Overall I would recommend this upgrade.

Comments: This shoe is terrible. It gave me a horrible case of plantar fasciitis in the arch of my left foot. I have owned 5 pairs of Guide 5, ran 4 half marathons and a ton of training mileage and never had a problem. I was very excited to get the Guide 6 as they trimmed a few ounces from it and supposedly did not change much in the shoe. Well something is different and I don't like it. I have been battling this injury for a month and I am training for a full marathon on 12/31. I hope I can recover!
