Customer feedback

Comments: I am 340 lb's trying to become more active and adding jogging/running to my activities to lose weight. I have wide boxy feet with a slightly low arch and a propensity to develop plantar Fasciitis. I have tried every nike walking/running shoes that comes in 4E, several high end new-balance control shoes and trail running shoes, Asics 2000's, 2170's, Gel Foundation, and Gel Evolution motion control shoes, and others. Every Athletic shoe I have tried has had flaws for my situation, too soft and unstable, not enough structure, too flexible, too hard, too much pronation control (causes too much supination and the outside edge of the shoe breaks down really fast), not enough arch support, etc...etc... That is, until I found this shoe. The Asics Gel Fortitude 5 is a must see for large runners. I have been out for 5 runs in these shoes, and see no signs of the cushion, support, or mid-sole breaking down. At my weight, every other shoe I've tried would show signs of this by now. My feet have never felt better after high impact activity, and I have been able to significantly increase my stride, raise my heel strike, and increase my pace from 18 minute miles, to 14 minute miles (yes, I mix walking and jogging, still a must for me but getting better every week :)
