Comments: I have been running with the Nike zoom for years and after a friend invited me to Asics (a brand I had never heard of before) I started at the bottom of the line Asics shoe and worked my way up through the line of shoes that Asics had to offer me, and once I had heard of the Kayano 16 I nearly craped myself finding out how much it cost but I was pretty determind to buy this shoe and once I had had enough money to buy this shoe I bought it instantly. Makeing this goal of buying this shoe was the best decision of my life I have put about 300 miles on it allready and this shoe probually has about another 400 to go, to get me through the winter. This shoe has amazing support and fits my foot like no other. I love the laceing that asics invented (to follow the bone structor of your foot) BRILLIANT! These shoes fit my feet better than any shoe I have worn before, and soon I am going to have enough money to buy the Keisei 3 so keep an eye out for my report on thoes if your interested in that shoe yourself! I'd like to thank the Asics company and Running Warehouse for doing all that they do and for makeing this shoe possible and changeing the future of running!

Comments: I'm 6'1", 177, w/low arches. After using motion-control shoes for a while, I've been transitioning to less support. Bought these based on the fit of the 15 and their reputation as strongly stable but not overly so. Great shoe! Enough support to keep me from being nervous about injury, but definitely freer feeling and lighter than my old MC shoes. The asymmetric lacing didn't seem to do anything for my feet, good or bad. Only blisters after my longest runs (on the ends of two toes) kept me from marathoning in these.

Comments: Started running about 12 weeks ago with my asic 1150 slightly worn from wear. It was time to replace them. Because I love my feet and want to be comfortable I bought the asic Asics Gel Kayano 16. I was disappointed at first, it felt like I had logs on my feet... they seem (or) I seem to be adjusting to them but I prefer my 1150's.

Comments: Purchased a pair from RW based on Asics reputation and it was a huge disappointment. The shoe feels bulky and chunky, more of a motion control shoe than stability shoe. The asymmetrical lacing feels awkward and I just can't find a comfortable knot with this gimmick. Sent the shoes back yesterday after 5 miles usage.

Comments: For me, another great Kayano update. Very plush, comfortable for those long runs of 10+ miles.

Comments: I've run in Kayano's for 10 years. Purchased 16's one month ago. I agree with Scott from Atlanta. I'm very disappointed in this shoe. Plan to return them for another shoe. They should have left well enough alone.

Comments: I had two pairs of 15s and trained/ran a marathon in them. Great shoes. My brief experience with the 16, not so good. Yes it is lighter, but the forefoot wrap feels flimsy where they used new material and removed one of the overlays. The asymmetrical lacing was a harmless novelty in the 15 but it's exaggerated in the 16 and just seems bizarro. And what's up with the thin, cheesy laces?? Finally, to me the heel-to-toe roll is not nearly as smooth -- on my first run I felt like my forefeet were slapping the pavement the whole time, and I had new knee pain afterward. I think Asics went off course with this one.

Comments: I just purchased the Kayano 16 on recommendation. I just started running again after 6 weeks rest due to a stress fracture in my shin. After two runs in the new Kayano I have not experienced any calf or leg pain or tightness. These Kayano 16's are light and very comfortable. I am very happy.

Comments: Just purchased today. Recommended to me for moderate over-pronation. Then I went for a 7 mile run on road, dirt and path. They performed OUTSTANDINGLY. My feet feel great and knees only slightly sore. Looking forward to using these shoes as I train for the LA Marathon.

Comments: These babies are great. Comfortable. Pricey, but they look great and you can run all day long in them.
