Comments: I love these shoes! I have the family wide feet and pronate like crazy. I work in healthcare as an occupational therapist and have been buying Brooks Ariel for years. Before that my feet hurt every night after work.  I did have my gait analyzed and shoes fit and have this done periodically. My podiatrist approves
of Brooks Ariel.

Comments: I'm in high school & wanting to be on my school's cross country team since I love to run. I've been having problems w/ many stress fractures in the hips, so I was finally snt to physical therapy. I was told that, along w/ having very weak hip flexor muscles which is being worked on, I had severe over-pronation which could be helped w/ motion control shoes. Would these be a good shoe to fix that problem along w/ being good for a lot of distance running in a sport?

Comments: I am a heavier runner and I will say these shoes did not provide the arch support I needed. I am a moderate over-pronater with medium arches. After a run analysis these shoes were recommended to me. After running in these shoes for two 5k's my hips hurt, the outside of my knees hurt and my arches were killing me as well. I felt like I was carrying bricks instead of shoes. These shoes weighed two full oz's heavier that the other shoes I wore due to the extra motion control features. I wouldn't recommend these shoes to anyone unless you are in need of serious motion control. These are definitely not made for those that are mild to moderate over-pronators and would be better suited for walking.
