Comments: I purchased a pair at the clearance price and have been running in them 5 or 6 times already.  So far so good.  I had knee pain prior to wearing these and the pain has gone away.  Overall, I like the shoes and they are comfortable to run in.  At this point, I'm putting 15 - 20 miles on them per week and haven't been able to find anything wrong with them.  Besides, they look good too.  Great Buy at this price!

Comments: Bought this shoes for great deal, over 50% off, first time wearing Brooks, if this anything close to how other Brooks shoes feel, I will never buy them again. I weight 160 pounds, have been running over 1.5 years, average 45+ miles per week, wear Asics and Mizuno and will definitely stick to those. I used them for a 7 mile run just felt clunky and as heavy and cushiony as they look, they still don't seem to observe the pounding as shoe 2-4 ounces less!

Comments: I bought these shoes a month ago. The front cushioning is horrible and your legs actually hurt after running a couple of miles. When you run it feels like there is a bubble in the middle of the sole. I am going back to my old Nikes. Won't buy Brooks again.

Comments: Decided to try the Glycerin 8 based on great price, and service from Runner's Warehouse was solid, as always.  As for the shoes, I'm an Asics fan but thought I'd try these based on the great price/"top pick" label.  The shoes feel like the cushioning is broken down already and my feet are slapping the pavement after about 50 miles. Not a fan, won't buy Brooks again.

Comments: Just got a pair at the clearance price, which was a GREAT DEAL!! As usual, Running Warehouse shipped it out pronto and I got them today (Friday). This is the first pair of shoes I've ever owned that list price over $100, I only bought them because they were on sale for well under $100. I mention that because this was a test for me to decide if it would ever be worth spending over $100 for running shoes and based on the fit and feel of this Glycerin 8, I would say that it is worth the extra. Took it out for a 5k run this afternoon, the first time I've run over 2 miles in over a year as I am just now getting back into running more seriously after recovering from a heel injury. I'm a bigger guy, 6'2" around 225, and run with a midfoot strike. I honestly expected to go out and run 2 or maybe 2.5

Comments: Had glyceryn 6 and 7s no problems. Since I got the 8s both my heels have been killing me.

Comments: Not sure why there are some negative reviews here.  I bought my Glycerins while training for a marathon in the fall of 2010.  I am 6'3" 270lbs.  I got down to 240lbs for the marathon and the shoes were the best that I have ever had.  I'm still wearing them for running, and I'm approaching 500 miles on them and the shoe hasn't broken down.  The sole is finally wearing out, but I expected the structural integrity of the shoe to go way before the sole, due to my size.  I begin training for my second marathon in June of 2011 and will be buying the Brooks Glycerin 8 again.

Comments: Overall, very disapointed ...not much cushioning, rough ride and no trasition...Gave 'em a chance, no more Brooks shoes for me. Its back to the ASICS GEL NIMBUS for me.

Comments: This shoe is constructed well but wore out very quickly. I would expect a shoe that's over the $100 mark to last more than 10 miles. It may just be me but I hated these shoes. I'll be going back to Asics.

Comments: Surprised to hear people complain about the durability of this shoe.  I am 6'3" 174 and have had no problems with these shoes.  I have two pairs, one approaching 500 miles and the other around 200.  I will probably retire the first pair soon but have not experienced any problems with them wearing out.  These are great shoes with a lot of cushioning.

Comments: This was my first Brooks shoe and it will not be the last.  I got the shoes out of the box, put my orthotics inside, and ran 5k.  Shoe felt as comfortable as a pair of Asics with 100 miles of break-in time.  These shoes were recommended by the great folks at Runners Warehouse for runners with shin splints.  I have nearly 300 miles in on these shoes and I have been able to actually enjoy running again.
