Comments: A big step in quality from the original Bondis. I have this and the Trail version. Both are great shoes and perfect for those that get injured a lot. A soft ride, but responsive and light enough for faster running. They are great for people will skinny feet, but not skinny enough for a smaller width. Highly recommend.

Comments: These shoes were recommended to me by a running store to help me come back after a stress fracture due to the amount of cushion they provided, so I decided to give them a try. Right away they felt odd, almost like I was running on cushioned stilts. They made me almost a full inch taller than any other running shoe I have worn, but they did absorb a lot of the pounding. I noticed however, after a few weeks in these shores one of my ankles began hurting. I thought I must have tweaked it , so I gave it some rest. However, after every single run over the next few months, my ankle would hurt so bad I could hardly walk the next morning. I kept taking time off from running only to have the pain come back after my next run. I only put about 200 miles on these shoes before I decided go back to an old pair of running shoes and lo and behold, my ankle felt better immediately. It didn't feel better in a few days or after a few runs, it felt better after my very first run switching back to my old shoes and the pain never came back as long as I wore my old shoes. I decided to try the Hoka Stinson Tarmac one more time and again; my right ankle hurt the very next day. I have found that I can‚t even wear these shoes and go for a walk without developing ankle pain and on top of that they don‚t come in any other width which makes them a little too narrow for me anyway. Overall, this shoe raises you up so far off the ground that it really takes some time to get used to and alters the way you run. I suspect that had something to do with my ankle pain. They were very plush, fairly comfortable, and surprisingly light for the size, but I was unable to wear these shoes, not to mention they might also be the ugliest shoe I have ever seen.

Comments: I am 5'11", 228 lbs, and generally wear running shoes that are rated the highest stability or the lowest motion control rating, based on runningwarehouse's star system - not due to any true excessive pronation or supination, but because I've had PF before and try to gently limit extra pronation. I wanted to try these instead because being a heavier guy, my knees talk to me sometimes. These feel strange at first. I've only run 3 miles so far. The cushioning is plush but is a little more floaty than I would prefer. I would like them to make a model that incorporates some stability features, if just slightly firmer foam around the sides. As it is, medial and lateral lower leg muscles will receive more exercise, which is fine but I wonder if that may temporarily increase the risk of injury until the muscles are stronger and/or the foam is worn in.

Comments: Per hoka, the heel-to-toe is 4mm. This shoe is great for longer runs. Was having some PF and have been able to continue to run with these. I do not like them on the treadmill, however pavement and trails are amazing. Takes a few runs to get use to them but its great. 5 stars.

Comments: I'm 5'11, 150, a neutral runner (47) running about 45 mpw. Thought I'd give these a try to help ease the pounding for longer runs. I didn't like them and returned them locally. Too big, bulky, and hot for me. They do have a plush ride, but if you're a midfoot/forefoot striker it seems hard to get around that wide heel area. Overall, they don't seem heavy. Just weren't right for me.

Comments: I tried the Bondi B as my 1st pair of Hoka's and loved them and still love them after 300 miles. Wanted to try the Stinson Evo Tarmac due to a more durable sole. They arrived on April 1, 2013 and I put 2 miles on them. Can't wait to get them broken in proper. I am 6'2 280 lbs and get 300 miles out of a shoe, its amazing.

Comments: Arrived Dec 25th, by Jan 17th with approx 60 miles on pavement my apparently imperfect foot strike had worn through the outer rubber on one heal, 2nd not far behind .. first time I've shopped for "shoe goo" in about 30 years ..

Comments: At last a shoe I can run long miles in and not feel like my feet have been hammered on. These shoes will affect your running form, so be careful transitioning into them. I'm staying on my forefoot in these shoes as much as possible. I have used them for speed training on the track several times, and I am shocked I can run fast in these shoes. My feet are in the best shape they have been in years. My only complaint is the upper which needs to be more breathable. Superb product!
