Comments: All I can say is "Wow". I bought these shoes to compete in Tough Mudder. I put over 50 miles of trail running on them as part of my training and had no problems at all (I should add that this was my first real foray into running). As for the Tough Mudder event itself, the shoes were phenomenal. While others were slipping and falling in the mud and black diamond ski slopes, I was secure and stable. I experienced no problems with drainage, and believe me, my feet were in water and mud for over three hours. I couldn't be happier with these shoes. Inov-8, you've made a fan here!

Comments: These shoes are great for rugged dry trails. I recently did a mud run wearing them, though, and they do not drain water well at all. In fact, they are pretty well sealed all around the sole such that you can fill them with about a quarter inch of water which will stay there until you pour it out.

Comments: The toe box is quite narrow even for my narrow foot so I had to send them back. Also the shoes arrived with dirt in the tread and scuffs on the upper so clearly someone wore these and returned them. If this happens again they will lose me as a customer.

Comments: I bought a pair of these, on a whim, because they looked like they'd be very good, I'd read some good reports, and I wanted to try some trail shoes with just a little less heel-toe drop than my Salomon Speedcross 2's. While the Speedcross 2 is still my favorite trail shoe, the Roclite 295 is an extremely close second and may surpass the Speedcross for some runs or terrain. They were comfortable right out of the box and seem to run standard size. The toe box is roomy, maybe a little too much so as I'm used to a fit which may sometimes be too snug, yet my heel feels locked in very well (unlike many other shoes I've tried). Traction is excellent, as is ground feel from the thin yet well cushioned sole. The Speedcross has thin sole in the forefoot, too, and seems to rely on the thick and squishy lugs for the bulk of their cushioning. The Roclites lugs are also thick/deep but are a bit harder compound so, maybe, won't wear as quickly. Like the Speedcross 2's the forefoot is quite flexible. My first run in the Roclites was a little over 8 miles, including fire road, single track, hills, loose and rocky trail, and a bit of pavement-absolutely no problems at all. Great shoes!

Comments: OK, these shoes are BAD! (as in good) There is no break in for these baby's. Just put them on and off you go. I do a lot of rough terrain running and these shoes are the best I've ever had. Thanks INOV-8!
