Customer feedback

Comments: I have owned this shoe for over a year now and have maybe 150 miles of hiking and 300 or 400 miles of walking and running on them. Mostly good things to say. Pros: Lightweight for a trail runner. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they dry. It is a comfortable shoe that you are able to adjust with the laces. Cons: The tongue on the left shoe continues to shift quite a bit 1/2 inch which is a lot, very surprising on this quality of shoe. Not really a con but to make you aware that the nubs on the bottom wear out quickly if not used on trails all the time, this is probably an unfair assessment since I walk and run a good deal of the time on sidewalks made of concrete, it is after all a trail running shoe.

Comments: I'm not one to leave feedback - in fact I never have until now, but I felt compelled after my experience with the Wildcat. I liked this shoe at first (even ordered a second pair at the sale price of $80), but the honeymoon was soon over after the rubber tongue that covers the toe started to peel back. I even tried shoe-glue on it, but to no avail; it kept peeling. I hadn't been wearing them for more than a month when this started (needless to say, I soon returned the unworn pair).  Other than that issue, I have to admit they are pretty decent (good cushioning, traction, etc), but if a shoe is going to retail for $100, I expect it to hold up for longer than a month. Since, I've switched to Brooks Cascadias for trailrunning, and let me tell you, that's a shoe that's worth every dime.

Comments: La Sportiva is an excellent company but I was nervous about this shoe because of the solid piece over the instep. Don't fear it is not tight and it is very comfortable and keeps the foot snug. Shoe feels lighter than its stated weight. Good cushioning and very comfortable. Should only be used on soft surfaces, trails not sidewalk like I have too, as stated it is a trail shoe and has very good traction. The traction nubs, my term do wear quickly when on concrete or asphalt. Overall a good shoe.

Comments: The La Sportiva ”Wildcat” is the blue collar, workingman’s trail shoe, in the running shoe world it’s more like an all-purpose 4X pickup truck than a sports car, but isn’t that the way of the trail to begin with.
