Customer feedback

Comments: I've been using these for about four months and they have become my favorites.  The are relatively light, quite flexible and most comfortable.  I need a moderate amount of support these fit the bill really well.  Glad I purchased from runningwarehouse.  Thanks.

Comments: Been running with these shoes for almost year, they are good for long runs and a responsive shoe is what it really is; not bad though.  Ran my marathon with these and use them for training now.  Not a bad shoe.

Comments: I've been using the Elixir 6 for 6 months running 5K's. Shoes were for outdoor use on smooth pavement and light trails. Previously owned Kayano's and Faas. I was fitted for the Elixir at a running store (highly recommended). Lightweight shoe. Toe box is roomier, but the rest is snug and comfortable. Lacing system locks your feet in well.  Cushioning feels minimal but very comfortable during the run. Traction is also very good. Great out of the box. Experienced no break-in period. Bought 1/2 size up for this shoe

Comments: Used the Elixir 6 for over 3 months and find out that I shouldn't by this running shoe again. Don't get me wrong, mizuno the brand is great, I used to wear the the wave alchemy and they were excellent. I then switched to the asics ds trainers to get a minimalist approach while still having a shoe that provides support (should just stay with them). I bought the elixir to give them a try. They have a snug fit, it took me like two weeks to break them in and if you get them wet, they will stink for weeks!!! I'm in the military and I run a lot
in different types of terrains. If you running indoors this shoes are alright.

Comments: Used elixir 5's for over a year now... noticed positive changes in the 6.  The middle is snugger and my foot won't shift as much going around corners.  Fits more like a sock but will last much longer than any minimal racing shoe.  No break in period at all.  With the proper size these are good right out of the box.  With regard to a previous review, the upper in the 6 felt looser than the 5 and toe movement was better.  Looking forward to trying the trail version of this shoe in the 'wave ascend 6.'

Comments: Wonderful all-around, relatively lightweight stability shoe with just the right amount of stiffness and cushioning for my preferences and needs.  I use it for everything from 5ks to half marathons and from tempo to long (for me, 10-15mi) training runs.  My right arch collapses during foot strike, so a lot of shoes feel a little tight in the mid foot of my right foot, but I've had a lot of luck with Mizunos in terms of fit; the Elixir is no exception.  These have been and will continue to be my "go-to" shoe.

Comments: Great responsive shoe with a firmness minded for tempo runs, where they have a good transition. On longer runs they can feel a bit hard and they punish you if the running form gets sloppy. The only minor complaint is the upper is on the stiff side, but all in all a good fit. Also they are fine on the trails with good traction, so they do good as an all around shoe as long as you don't need to much cushioning.
