Montrail Streak Men's Shoes Storm Gry/Yel Customer feedback
|
Comments: Runningwarehouse is right in assessing forefoot cushioning in this shoe as "nothing added." The trail
shield does a decent job with small rocks, but if you plan to run long runs (10+) miles in these, I suggest you replace the existing
insole with a 3rd party cushioned insole, such as Sorbothane, Superfeet, etc with a healthy does of forefoot cushion. If not, you will
feel every step of the way after 10 miles. I ran a 17 miler Sat on dirt/gravel/rutted road trails and it pounded my feet and shins in
these shoes. Definitely NOT for ultras unless you are an elite who will finish before your feet can start hurting. The fit is good
though, sizing up 1/2 size from your street shoe. These are good for the neutral runner doing shorter trail runs/races.
