Comments: I have been running on Asics for 5 years and always love them. Recently I thought I might try some shoes with less cushioning and train for my first NYC half marathon. I did my first marathon in 2010 and paced 10:15, and this Mizuno Ronin help me run 7:45 Half marathon just few weeks ago. Yes, I am surprised! I do recommend this to people who wants to try faster mid-distance running. These shoes are fast and responsive. I am not sure if you should trian with them everyday. This is why I still have my Asice Nimbus with me.

Comments: I've had Mizuno Wave Riders since the 12 -- 12, 13 and 14. After the redesign of the 14 I switched to the Precision 12, a lighter shoe than the Rider but still a solid daily trainer. However, I was looking for something lighter still for racing and the Ronin 3 fits the bill to a T. I took them out for a training run last night and couldn't believe how fast they were! It was like, "unleash the hounds," my feet just took off! On the downside, they're definitely snug a I recommend ordering a half size up. Based on my experience so far, though, I can't wait for my first race!

Comments: Fantastic shoe. Very good and durable. Its extremely light and flexible and you'll will find yourself flying in this footwear. The only drawback is that its traction could be better so watch out when running on grass or slippery surfaces. Besides that, I think every serious runner who needs a new pair of flats should get this shoe!

Comments: Another nice shoe from Mizuno. Like many shoes in the Mizuno lineup, the Ronin runs small, so go half a size up. The ride is firm but not rough, similar to some of the so-called minimalist shoes on the market. Out of the box, it's stiffer in the forefoot than I expected, which concerned me. Not a problem, though, and the shoe loosens up after you get a few miles on it. I'm using this shoe for my shorter, faster-paced road runs (I'm 5'8", 153 lb). It's a good shoe for a light to middleweight efficient forefoot or mid-foot striker, but it may not be enough shoe for the 170-200 lb crowd. And it's definitely not a heel striker's shoe.

Comments: Used them for a 5k today. I train in Wave Creations so the drop is very similar. I love that the Ronins weigh half as much. Feel like they have just enough cushioning without being heavy.

Comments: I have had every version of the Wave Ronin and they just keep getting better. I've ran 5K's, 10K's and half marathons in these shoes without any problems. These will be the shoes I wear when I attempt a marathon later this year.

Comments: I purchased the Wave Ronin 3s for 5-10K racing, but after my first test run in them (a 5 mile recovery run), I think they may be a very practical half marathon racer. In fact, for runners whose legs are younger than mine (65 years) they would probably be good full marathon footwear. The Ronin 3s are firm, but not a bunch more than my every-day Wave Riders. They are very flexible and great for mid-foot/fore-foot strikers, and they are so lite, they make my Wave Riders feel like iron horse shoes. The fit/sizing is (for me) very similar to Wave Riders (I like a wide toe box). I wear 10.5 in both and the Ronin 3s felt just right on my short run. This shoe is about as close as I can get to a racing flat, without beating up my legs. I've been using them for about 6 weeks now, mostly for tempo and interval work, and am very happy. Last weekend I did a 10 mile race in them (flat, pavement, rain) and they were great.

Comments: Been running in the Ronin 3 for a little over a month. Love everything about them. They're super light yet I don't feel like I'm running in a "sock-like" racing flat. Been using them for all my long training runs for Boston 2011 and they hold up perfectly. In my opinion, they feel more like an ultra lightweight trainer as opposed to an actual racing flat. Great shoe. My new go to.

Comments: 50-65 miles per week 6'2" 200 neutral high arch. This is a nice shoe but the heel is stiff and built up too high. There are better selections for a racing flat out there, like the Streak XC2. The forefoot is very wide also.
