Comments: You will love this shoe if you like a shoe that is light, sheds water like crazy, and doesnt last long... mine started to go downhill after 200 miles...

Comments: I really like this shoe with the caveat that the midsole feels completely dead for me after 350 miles. The first 200 miles felt great even on the roads. This pair is now delegated to trail-only duty, which is a pain considering that I need to run roads to get there. The outsole will long outlast the midsole. Love the upper -- every shoe should have such an elegant design. Wish these had Nike Zoom in the forefoot to extend the life.

Comments: I am a big fan of this shoe.  I usually run in the 0-4mm drop minimalist category, and sometimes barefoot.  Before shedding the cushion, the Mountain Masochist was my go-to trail shoe (and I still keep a pair handy for long mountain runs).  I bought this shoe specifically for trail ultras.  The cushiony midsole and lugged outsole are somewhere between springy and squishy on asphalt, but once you hit the trails, the shoe's platform is stable and responsive--great for moving fast on technical single-track.  Looking forward to wearing these on my upcoming 50-miler.

Comments: Bought the Fly's specifically for a 50K race run on a grassy, rolling 5K cross-country course (10 laps). The grip was perfect and the light weight made the last laps a lot easier. It being my forst ultra, I was suprised that the shoes made my feet feel so great, even after running in the heat and humidity. A great shoe for trail running if the surface is right (puddles of mud will make this shoe slippery). A+
